I love how he has come out of his quiet period

He had a few weeks where he was "only" getting 20-25 touches and not kicking the goals like today

But then he plays like last week (the only reason we were in it at HT) and a game like today and you just have to :hearts: the guy

Beastly is a great word to describe his play

He is a man-child!!! Imagine him in one to two years, he may be the best player of the modern era!!!*

*Sorry, I'll keep a lid on it... ;)

Dangerfield is an elite player that is already scary but he will even be scarier in a couple of years! As our great captain Ricciuto said earlier in the season, Danger will be the best Crow to date and boy does he love playing Freo. Don't think he has played a bad game against them. He seems to kill them every time!

I don't think Watson will accumulate as may votes as people think he will early in the season. In a lot of those games, he was behind Stanton, and Zaharakis and some random stand outs like Jetta etc, whilst also having to factor in the opposition best player in close ones. I'd have him on 22-26 votes at the moment. I have Thompson on about the same as well.

Dangerfield's votes are so much easier to determine however. The way he dominates is so eye catching, the umpires would be blind not to see him doing what he does. Sometimes you don't see players like Watson and Thompson get their possessions because the way they clear the ball is quick and concise, along with their link up. That's why you don't usually see them get big votes unless they snag a goal or two. As for Danger, you can see the effort he goes through to extract the pill and clear it effectively, and the frequency he does it must catch the umpires eye. Along with his impressive runs, and also his link up play being more noticeable as well.

After tonight's game, this is how I got his voting on my tallys R(V):
GCS: 0, outside chance for 1
WB: 0
HAW: Best for us, but no votes
GWS: 0
PORT: 3, medal winner, lock
SYD: 3, not a lock, but was a deciding factor when other players were faltering in our side
GEE: 0
CARL: 3, lock
COLL: 0, no one from our side deserved votes that night
FREO: 2, ripper game, but Sloane was better
STK: 0, 4th or 5th best player, Dal Santo pushes some of our players out of voting
NM: 0, strong game but in a smashing
RICH: 0, outside chance for a vote behind Thompson and Walker, but Richmond had a couple stand outs
PORT: 0
GWS: 0
WCE: 3, Bernie had a ripper with 4 goals, but Dangerfield was more influential around the ground IMO
GEE: 2, IMO Danger was easily best on, but Hawkins was BOG for the winning side
ESS: 3, lock - dominate
FREO: 3, lock - even more dominate
TOTAL: ~22, give or take a vote or two.

I hope he has a ripper last 3 matches!

He and Sloane have seemingly become reliable for 1-2 50m goals every week. It's almost unbelievable how good they've become at it.

His goal after the Jenkins shank was incredible, but for me it was the set shot from outside 50 that impressed me the most. Not as flashy, but you could see from the moment he took the mark, there wasn't even the slightest doubt in his mind that he was going to slot the goal. He is running high on confidence at the moment :thumbsu:
