Re: Daniel Talia

So let me get this straight.

This guy is 195cm, can play both ends and is also quick and agile enough to play on-ball. He wins his own ball, is strong overhead, kicks goals, has good disposal and a strong body. He is quick and he tackles and leaps over tall buildings in a single bound, but in this allegedly weak, shallow draft he is not really worth Pick 9 !!??

What am I missing here?
Agreed completely. Issue I have is that I can see him getting snapped up by a Swans or North before we get a chance.....
Hope he 'falls to us at 9', him, Shoey and Gil controlling the backline for years to come would be sweet.

What is about Talia that a few posters believe he is not the player we require? I haven't seen him play other than youtube vids so curious is he not strong enough defensively? Seems to have the physical attributes required with time to fill out..

Re: Daniel Talia

no picture... looks like a daisy thomas haircut cross with a new age boy band. had a younger brother who plays in the TAC16's who had exactly the same hair cut...

Those youtube highlights looked great. Big unit, mobile, a good kick and plenty of composure. Seems like a perfect choice for pick 9. Use a lower pick to get an older back-up option.
