The other night I was looking through all the features of our new TV after the last one shat itself.

The YouTube app suggested the last quarter of the 2014 Freo Semi.

I thought, why not? A happy memory from back when I used to actually enjoy footy.

Apart from the thrilling play of baby Wines, baby Wingard, Jay Schulz and the seriously good platoon defence of Trengove, Pittard and O’Shea, the thing that really stuck out is how the camera kept showing Koch, Cardone, Osborn, Thomas and their wives after what felt like every Port goal.

I was always suspicious of him but was prepared to accept he’d done okay getting Renault etc but this was the moment I knew I couldn’t stand him at the club.

NTUA was a message to the powers that be from grass roots supporters and this spiv turns it into a moment that was all about him and how it could show off to one of his heros.
