New supporter? Did you know that Patrick Dangerfield of the Geelong Cats was once a Crow's player. He left as a RFA and we got a first and second round pick for him.
I was referring to the fact that it was mentioned that we could get a top 5 pick from the Saints for Sloane. I just don't think that they will give that up for him. We only got pick 9 for Danger who was younger and a top 3 player in the league.

Yes, but, Geelong gave us the highest pic that they had. That’s what the Saints will have to do too.

Unless they do a deal somewhere else they wont. They have 2 picks under 70. 1 is 4 and the other 66 ( as it stands)

Fair point, but why not do that deal with us. We have 3 picks under 19 plus our 2019 first.
I was going to add those but I still think the Saints club and Board might still shy away from the lashback :)

Though they could sell it as Sloane and Carltons 2nd ie pick 19 or even our pick 18 ;)

Spent a bit of time of the MFC board earlier. They HATE Goody over there, almost as much as we all hate the Levers.

Waiting for the tinfoil hat theories about Goody tanking the season for them so the Crows can get a higher draft pick.... You know they’re thinking it
Hmm.. Makes sense... Good theory .. Then bam .... Goodwin signs as coach...

Goodwin strikes me as a good assistant. I reckon he's also a pretty good leader of men, but I'm not convinced he's a great head coach.

I reckon the complexity combined with the pressure at the highest level of coaching may not suit him.

His leadership qualities has meant thar people will listen to him, however this will fade if he's not getting the results.

I do have a massive soft spot for him being a legend of our club, so I don't want to see him fail. But on the other hand, Melbourne....

Yeah, I see what you mean, but I think that maybe it’s that Melbourne are soft and he’s a hard coach. Too many excuses at that place. The bailing for the camp is a case in point. Melbourne have been a nothing club my entire life and I don’t see that changing.

Sure, but we got reamed in that trade. Noble is the worst negotiator this league has seen.

I'm sure all those other list managers really enjoyed working with him

They actually said exactly that at times. Think it was Stephen Wells after the Danger trade saying it was great working with Noble because he didn't anchor which can make it hard to get a deal done. Many of the usual suspects around here used that as evidence that Noble was a good negotiator.

I'd agree with everything above except for the word "good". I have another word in mind

If he goes you know he'll be back at the Crows in something else capacity next year. Or he'll at least fill a spot in the media until a spot opens up.
