Assuming these are official, this makes at least 8 people on the way out. With the draft so weak and only Lower a realisitic upgrade from the rookie list i think it is a fair assumption that we will trade or draft 3-4 experienced players in.

Surely we arent going to draft more the 4-5 players + rookies.

Couldnt agree more, when he was drafted the SA folk said Bolly "sleeps with the light on",,,never a more apt commentary

So with Schammer gone, Hayden gone, Pav on the Vets list plus one or two other possible delistings, we may have 8-9 spots on our main/rookie list.

One would think Houghton may be re-rookied.

But if Houghts was rookie'd there'd still be ample spots on our main list. Maybe we intend on doing another sweep of mature agers, as well as more than 1 rookie upgrade (Lower & Pearce?)

Sad but true, this isnt speculative guys it is the delistings we have so far. Sibos meeting is around 3ish and more players have their meetings tomorrow.

Yeah, if that is legit Houghton is the only surprise IMO.

Even in a normal year it's rare to turn over that much of the list (taking into account retirements as well) and to do so in such a weak and compromised draft is madness.

So I'm calling BS

Also why would we rookie Ruffles last year knowing he wouldn't play this year due to his knee reco only to let him go a year later. Until I see proof I'm putting my head in the sand.

This many delistings would also indicate we won't be getting Jaegar considering he won't be on the senior list next year but will cost at least 1 player probably 2. We'd have to go into the 10th round of the draft

Harves said we'd have to make some tough choices in lieu of our dissapointing season, these spots can certainly be filled with prelisted trade ons from GWS, regular trade ins, rookie upgrades & NAB draft picks. I wouldn't say it in any way, shape or form implies we are out of the race for Jaeger.

Not necessarily the ND. I've got a feeling we'll be stocking up on mature aged rookies again either way. It's that 22-26 bracket that we're pretty weak atm.

I have to say the only thing that makes me think this might be true is a conversation I had recently with Jason McCartney, when I asked him about Houghton he was lukewarm to say the least about his prospects.
