Gutted for Denver. Very nice bloke but just hasn't worked out for us. He's very much loved by all his teammates.

Lot of injuries and just can't seem to develop an AFL body/tank.

Hopefully gets another shot elsewhere.

Gather West Coast were not interested in him being thrown in as steak knives as part of the Barrass deal.

I think he and his partner are settled in VIC. Maybe there might not have been any mutual interest.

Not really. He will probably get picked up somewhere but I'm not sure he will ever be more than a good VFL back
We also got 2 defenders coming in, he was already behind Serong and we would be hoping McCabe would soon passes him

two teams just played off in a GF with lewis melican and jack payne as key backs heck throw in sam frost many thought he was no good a few years back. Every team has a spot for a big back like phillips imo

denver on the other hand. Not to rub salt in as he just lost his job but how any team can think of signing him even as a train on player must not off watched him play in the vfl? he looked like a CAT B rookie

DGB was an odd one for us. His best game was his first one, and he never looked likely after that.

Was just never in the mix, even with the injuries.

Apparently a solid citizen and a good trainer too, so it was always a bit of a mystery

. High expectations as a draftee, didn't deliver and tank was an issue. Getting delisted and being given another chance lit a fire under him and is now best 22. I'd prefer to take DGB than a one-season fill in like Tomlinson

Looking at his VFL numbers, they’re pretty underwhelming. For pick 4 you’d expect to dominate the level below somewhat. Looks like he struggles to even get involved. We just delisted Sam Weidman and he managed to get a fair bit of it in the backline. Wouldn’t mind another interceptor at Essendon, so I have some interest, but seems just ok.

Doesn't have a tank and hasn't put on the size to take the bigger forwards. Not a great combination when he has barely improved in either area in 4 years
