I’ve been telling everyone since I’ve been on this site Hawthorn have the softest fans in the league by a significant margin and it is being exposed again.
The club is successful, the fans can’t deal with tough times so take the easy way out. They are soft, they had completely disappeared in the past few years so of course they can’t take it. They almost completely lost their club in a merger.

Their membership will sky rocket next year though as they sniff success again.
There are not many hawk fans over the age of 50.

Complete bull dust. Biggest percentage growth came 1997. Just after the merger debacle 11 years before a flag

You were probably among those saying it was people signing up their pets

Your entire post is bullshit, but this one is objectively provable as bullshit.

After a series of very poor years, we had 10k more members in 2024 than 2015 when we last won a flag. Yes, some others have added more than us since then, but they've all been playing finals - most of them regularly. I expect we'll see our numbers go up even more if we can make finals a regular occurrence.

looks like Sicily got deep in his feelings over Hinkley's plane enactment

A source familiar with the exchange told 7NEWS.com.au that Sicily erupted at Hinkley, telling him Port Adelaide had been a “nowhere club for eight years”.
Pretty poor by Sicily. They have been a nowhere club for nearly 20 years

I did think 8 years was weirdly specific but without relevance. Hawthorn has been a nowhere club for 8 years as well. He could have gone much harder

I think we all know the AFL season ended a week ago. Knocking out Hawthorn is all anyone talked about all week and now that we've had four quarters of junk time in the prelim and we're getting four more in the grand final it'll be quickly forgotten. We WERE the story of 2024 and beating us, not the alleged "premier" will be all anyone talks about in the offseason. "How do you beat Hawthorn" will be the narrative going into 2025.

Perhaps we need a thread about whether Geelong has the most embittered fans, still with a massive chip on their shoulders for being a historically middle of the road club.

Quite remarkable that Kern is copping zero heat in the media for the role his outburst last week had on last night's game. Also the way he made it about himself last week, but about 'everyone' this week (and against the Cats). He's a very weak individual.

I have to agree. Even last nights preliminary final between swans and Port wasn't great
Ahh yes so what ure saying is everyone does it. The only reason you care it's hawthorn player is that you fear what's coming. Hawthorn must be stopped at any cost. Good luck 👍

We exposed the fragility in Port.

Without external motivation and a Kenny rev up they aren't much at all.

Old school 90s gameplan of bombing it to a non-existent Power forward (A suburban level footballer in Esava and a completely burnt to a crisp Charlie).

If you need to rely on external motivation you aren't going anywhere as a football club.

I agree, Hawthorn is unbeatable
Nahh mate not unbeatable but definitely in the heads of other supporters like ureself. I can't wait for another few years of free kick Hawthorn u know its coming and I am looking forward to it
