watch for ormond this year... have played all practice matches with parctically a 2's side! most of there players are around 25 so they are an established playing list and can easily cover for the losses as the class of martinov, chisholm and elkman are still there...

No idea, they are playing half their home games at keysborough and the other half at mordialloc. Seems strange to me, anyone got any info on that?

In summary this is what I was told. Relationship with the school is good but club unhappy with the arrangements and management at the playing fields. Looking for some other local alternatives. Just dipping a toe in water rather than a serious attempt to pull up stumps and move.

4/5 last week, not bad but my margins were terrible!

Mentonians vs St.Johns by 10 points
Geelong vs Ormond by 17 points
Glen Eira vs MHSOB by 28 points
Peninsula vs NOBSP by 6 points
Whitefriars vs Willy by 45 points

What's the story with the new VAFA live scores with "RedText"?
Either it works properly with all divisions or give it the arse.
The POBFC vs NOBs score has been showing as full time since before the game?
Doesn't seem like its working properly....

Wow, regardless of the redtext farce, (which is obviously based on some bastard trying to make money from volunteers, the final results on the VAFA scoreboard tells it all:-
Willy are absolutely struggling;
OM's are up and coming;
Ormond are going to struggle;
MHSOB are also rans;
POBFC and Whitefriars are the front runners.
The next round will confirm ever more.

What's the story with peninsula? How good are they? New recruits?

Gary Carr is a huge pick up for Peninsula. Highly decorated Hampton Rovers man. Moved down that way with his young family. Former club captain (last 2 years), dual B&F winner and Premiership player. Still on the right side of 30 too.

What is the Ormond struggling bit , lost by 4 goals to OG , but were the better team after quarter time. Full credit to OG they jumped as and hung on. Bit ordinary that there ws no telly to watch Black Cavier

34 scoring shots to 20. Looks like you were lucky to get within 4 goals Bedford.

Bad luck to the Willy boys against whitefriars, got jumped early but were clearly the better team after half time and won the last quarter. Doubt the result will be the same second time around.

I don't know who Abdullah from whitefriars thinks he is, changed his jumper half way through the game to break a tag, when it's obvious to everyone on the ground that he is the bald midget. Thinks he's gods gift to football and although he's their best player (that's not saying much) any hard tag can shut him down.

Also have to mention their coach who obviously pretty happy with himself after the win started giving our players sh1t about all needing haircuts amongst other things. Get a reaility check Whitefriars you are not that good!

Hahaha! I hope you're joking keatsey. abdallah changed his jumper because it was ripped off him when willy went the knuckle and our coach was making a light hearted joke about your boy needing a haircut and certainly meant no offence.

You would never see a Williamstown Coach disrespect opposition players, espeacially one that had come back to the rooms and was best on ground.

Didn't think we were ever going to see Williamstown get an inside 50 for a while there either.

I would have thought it is inappropriate for any Willy person to get on here and start sledging. The whole club - including myself - should just
concentrate on notching up a win !! The first step toward that would
be to keep your head down...

I thought the atmosphere back in the Friars rooms after the match was
one of conviviality...no use making a mountain out of a molehill. Friars
beat us in all facets of the game. moreso than OMs the week before.

And anyway, remember the old saying about winners being grinners.
Let's concentrate on the OGs match this week.

Gasometer, totally agree with your assessment. I was in the rooms after the game and it was noted by many Whitefriars people how well Willliamstown conducted themselves as a club by coming in for a beer after a disappointing result!

The comment from the coach was made in good humour with no disrespect whasoever intended. In fact Willy left with their reputation enhanced and a fair greater respect from Friars people.

End of story Keatsey!
