Big game next week when Ormond visit Therry. A win to the home team and they will shoot up to second.
Are Ormond starting that late season wobble they are now famous for?

In fact, it's a big day all round on Saturday. 1st (Rovers) plays 4th (Oakleigh), while 2nd (Ormond) plays 3rd (Therry).

In golf, the third round of a major championship (ie US Masters) is known as 'moving day', where the top 20 players on the leaderboard fire themselves into contention in the hope of being the victor on the final day. Round 15 is the equivalent of that in the VAFA.

All the best to Ormond B&F winner Luke Gogis who got a knee in the ribs yesterday and has broken Ribs and a punctured lung. Capped off a shit day for the Monds and well done to the Krushers who won their 7th in a row. Big game for the Monds at Oak Park next week , the winner will get the double chance.

Super young player and hope he recovers quickly. Trust it was just accidental Bedders? Luke originally from Oakleigh juniors so expect they would have been keen to make him earn his kicks yesterday.

Haven't heard anything to say it was not accidental , players at both clubs know each other well , that's for sure. Has been in great form , so will be a big loss.

I was down that end of the ground behind the goals and had a good look at it and was an accident. Ormond the last two weeks have been full of 19’s , so very young . Could have won it in the end . The Oakleigh bench was absolute rabble and someone needs to pull they’re heads in. It reminded me of a SFL game with that abuse.

Coach has a bit of a lip on him

mr hippstar does have a point though mr bedford.

I love all grades. I just don’t watch below C, as I prefer the better standard of footy that the premier grades offer.
But I keep a watchful eye over all grades. Particularly on here. Great fun.
The Monds will be keen to avoid having to win two finals to gain promotion so will be desperate not to fall down that staircase next week. But with a slippery Bannister on both sides, those stairs may be hard to hold onto..

thankyou mr hippstar. you are a man for all seasons and grades it seems. i was keen to hear from mr bedford as it would not be a healthy sign if the laddies down gunn way were to go out in straight sets again.

I love how bedders carries on about other local clubs “stealing” Ormond juniors when they’ve got a young gun oakleigh junior.
Think it’s quite hypocritical!

Thanks Archangel..I was a little upset that I got no riser from anyone until now. You try to string a few lines together, treading as carefully as possible...and end up landing with a thud.

Fantastic to see you down here , what a love for all things VAFA and some humour to boot.

Ormond are a little worried about the broad staircase and it’s bannisters. Infact they have rushed in some Masonite in an attempt to strengthen their own foundations and footings.
Will the John Pascoe be their stairway to heaven? They are gonna need a whole lotta love. All roads lead to Therry for all you D1 lovers this week.

Good to see shawn calcedo and deen calcedo (dynamic duo) played a wonderful game to get the injury plagued Preston out of the winning drought I’m waiting for the under 19 superstar Ryan evens to play senior footy for Preston fingers crossed his in next week

number 12 Bannister can think himself lucky there is no vision. Great win by the Monds climbing the staircase. Good canteen at Therry with the hot chips.

You Ormond lads seem to play the victim alot.

Last week you say Oakleigh’s bench was too loud and abusive and that’s just not on at all.

But funny how the the very next week I’m told the Ormond’s senior bench was warned at quarter-time for the same thing.

And how come not one thing has been mentioned of when Bannister was smashed in marking contest was down for a 30+ seconds and when he got to his feet holding his neck he was elbowed in the stomach by an Ormond player while still holding his neck. I could probably see why he may of been a little heated.

Both games have been great. Can we get back to talking about the actual football and what the top four may look like in three weeks’ time?

4 players coped one from him and yes he might have got knocked over , but no elbow. Anyway great tough game of footy , very finals like. Just a pity 2nd v 3rd had no boundary umps , the only game in the division!

Sorry it was the Therry bench and the umpire called their TM in at quarter time to tell him to shut them up and a couple of players as well.
