What about box hill? Put up a a strong effort against NB, don’t think they’ve had a full squad in either
Yes I would have them to round up top four for this year, it's great to see BHN really competitive this year. Did they get a new coach this year?

They are definitely better than St Johns who look like they are on the decline.

Yeah they’ve brought a new coach in and a lot of new faces have come in I’ve been told totally different bhn from the past years

NB, Masala and BHN are the clear standouts with NB the top of that list.
Fighting for the final spot in the top 4 will be AP and StJ. I think both of these teams lack the depth the other strong clubs have so who stays healthier makes it. From what I can gather, AP probably have their noses in front. But StJ reserves are doing well, so unsure how that works? Maybe blokes just want to play together in the 2s.....
EP in a re-building phase.

Watched the BHN AP game today and was really surprised with how easily BHN won. They moved the ball with ease and looked dangerous all day. AP didn’t look the same once one of the Lee brothers went down. #38 from BHN was clearly best on, very physical players that was a class above the rest.

I was at the NB v Masala game.
Bit of a painful oval to get to from my side of town so was disappointed that it was pretty much over by half time.

NB played pretty physical brand of footy and looked pretty quick aswell. Masala had patches of good play but dropped off majorly in the last (dont think they had a bench).
Apparently NB was missing their captain and Masala had a whole bunch of senior players missing.

Some side notes

- NB have played 6 of the first 7 games at home so will be interesting to see how they go once on the road more because they play their ground very well.

- Ground is fairly average, it feels very slopped / down hill on the opposite side of the clubrooms.

- The canteen was ok but doesnt match the South Melbourne canteen, best gameday canteen I've been too!

Also St Johns must be pretty undermanned if they only sneaking a win against Eley Park.
Just on this, when was the last time a senior side played a game during the winter/cold months with a full strength side? Literally every club has missing players and I dare say if you ask NB they were missing players too who would fit into that senior side. Depth goes a long way in local football.
Having said that, I was surprised at how much NB won by, and also surprised at St Johns result top. Still a win is a win
