A quick message to the original poster. There is a reason why bookmakers live in big houses, drive 'flash' cars & send their children to private schools & it is not because they give generous odds.

You betcha, and they will continue to make money with so many fools out there willing to throw their money at them . :)

I heard on telly the other night some idiot had 40 grand on the Lions .

That was on the line IIRC.

If so... he collected.

I'm not talking 2003 dude, we beat you last year at the Dome, and by over 100 points the year before that at the Gabba, but apparently the game at the Gabba last year (which TheGeneral erroneously named as round 17) is the only one that counts.

The funny thing is, I said early in the thread that Carlton will probably win, yet the thread has got so bitchy and pathetically tribal that I am now being called out by Carlton supporters on general benign comments, simply because I have Brisbane under my avatar. Lighten the hell up. Geelong and Hawthorn supporters must be pissing themselves laughing at the squabble of teams fighting for scraps under the table.

So that is you consistantly pumelling us huh? 2 games? Riiiggggghhtt.

And mate I've got no problem with you, you're a good poster, but I'm gonna attack anybody who has the nerve to bag the shit out of my team before a game, and then anybody else who bags out Carlton supporters retaliating to those fools after a game. As I said, after the shit Carlton got before round 1, are you really surprised that we came out with force after the game?

Now lets see which tools who opened their fat traps pre-game want to come out and show themselves...

When will people learn - keep ya fat gobs shut pre-game. You only come out looking like the ******** you are. Hindsight is a wonderful thing :)

Seeing as the BF community don't learn from their mistakes, look forward to a similar thread for next week against the Bombers

For mine the best value is Richmond vs the Cats.

Everything reverses these days. Tigers were woeful last week so will be feral at the ball this weekend to prove 1) they are not soft and 2) they are a finals contender which their player list suggests.

On the other hand Geelong got up for their biggest match of the season last week vs Hawks to prove a point - they should be relaxed this week..ripe for a surprise and tigers to prove their own point.

But before you say i have lost my mind
, i'm not saying go for a head to head match, i'm saying the best odds are the $2.05 for Richmond to get a 39.5 point head start. They will be rabid dogs this weekend - or well should be!!!!

I've gone
$200 on Richmond with 39.5 point head start @ $2.05 (safe bet)
$100 on Richmond with a 24.5 point head start @ $3.50 (risk bet)
$25 on Richmond head to head @ $8.00 (crazy hope bet)

Do yourself a favor and get on board, I don't want to be the only loser :p

/slaps his own back!!

Not really into the whole betting thing, but this head-start stuff, I guess that means the team you bet on would have won if they had a 39 point lead at the start of the game?
Like for example, Richmond lost by 20 points or whatever, so if you bet on them with a 39 point head start, you would have collected?

Yep. So if Geelong won the match by 39 points, I would still have won with the head start of 39.5. Basically winning by 0.5 of a point!!

Or in simpler terms, just add the 39.5 points to Richmond's total and see if they win. If they did, I win the bet. And if Richmond actually won the match on their own, no need to invoke my 39.5 point head, I would win as well.

WTF does that have to do with anything I was responding to? I responded to you claiming your Lions side had consistently pumelled us of late, which is clearly false, and I responded to the ********s who attacked Carlton pre-game. The only thing I responded to you about was your comment about consistently pumelling us, which as I said is obviously wrong, so I don't see what you saying you expected Carlton to win last night has to do with anything I was responding to. Yet it's me who needs to learn to read

Before last night and round 21 we had won 9 in a row. Quiet a few of them absolute thrashings. (117,58,38,77,33)

It was clearly true. Do some research before you mouth off

Before the game at the Gabba last year, you hadn't beaten us since 2001.

What part of that are you struggling with.

It seems you 2 to be the ones struggling with it. As I have clearly said earlier, go back to our sides of 2001 and they are completely different, therefore I can't see how it has anything to do with Saturday nights game (and what do you know, I turned out to be right). The sides were completely different, what the hell does 2001 have to do with how our teams would go with saturdays game.

BrownDog, you read that and you acknoledged it, when you dig yourself into a whole, don't go back and pretend nothing happened and try a new angle.

Cousin Jed, read all the posts of 2 people's discussion/arguments before you butt in and trash talk someone. Makes you look like a douche. Take notice of your own advice next time, "do some research" and check out all the posts made in an argument, and the context they are made in
