Coach Do you still have any faith in Bevo? [POLL]

Do you still believe he should coach this side?

Change yes but it doesn’t mean that the senior coach goes. He has the contract extension but the club has to spend more of the soft cap and surround him with some assistants with ideas to update structure and ball movement.
The same soft cap that his salary is occupying a very large portion of?

It is also very clear at this point he is not interested in assistants "ideas". Don't know why people here keep persisting with this.

For those that say Beveridge doesn't make any match day moves.

He took one look at Khamis as second ruck in the first and said * that.

Lets just run English in the ruck for the rest of the game.

I'd expect Lobb to come straight back in next week regardless of form.
You mean he realized one of his many idiotic coaching moves was stupid? Perhaps he should have realized that before he sent Dunkley into the ruck for the 57th time.

It appears the Beveridge boom-bust cycle is now cycling back to the beginning stages.

Failed all the big tests this year (Collingwood, Power, Melbourne, Geelong) but grinding down the plodders (Essendon, Fremantle, North) enough for another 7th-8th place finish, just like last year, just like 2020. Another finals finish will go on his record and Bains will continue to cite that as justification for re-signing him on a big salary. The usual group of pro-Beveridge supporters will build up hope again, only to realize Beveridge has decided to play Mitch Hannan at fullback in 2024...

cant be losing from there,

once you go one man down with a quarter and a bit to go you have to protect it, we put a man back late in the last quarter but it was too late

Anyone game enough to watch the post game please pass on the talking points.
Can't bring myself to listen to the expected
  • Preformed admirably while undermanned
  • Couldn't stem the flow
  • Look to address teams getting a run of goals
  • Lots to learn from today

Expectation: Bevo trots out the theme of humility; realising that your gameplan is trash, your weekly themes are stupid, and that you should walk away from a contract that shouldn't have been handed to you in the first place.

Reality: Bevo trots out some cringeworthy theme that the players secretly hate, he puts a few more numbers around the ball just to really make sure, and he goes over to Chris Grant's house for a nice BBQ.

edit: alright, I've settled down and am back to 50/50

My prediction - west coast is the only team we beat for the rest of this year, geelong pump us at the cattery and bevo walks when we crash out of finals, his final game as dogs coast against Chris Scott.
