Failed all the big tests this year (Collingwood, Power, Melbourne, Geelong) but grinding down the plodders (Essendon, Fremantle, North) enough for another 7th-8th place finish, just like last year, just like 2020. Another finals finish will go on his record and Bains will continue to cite that as justification for re-signing him on a big salary.
