Especially when he continues to have faith in Ryan Gardner, his lack of pace, brains and ability cost 3 goals today, there is not much chance of winning anything with Number 43, as a key position defender

Wont be seeing Bevo going this year unless forced to unfortunately. I think he should go but it's not just Bevo that's a problem at the club atm.

It honestly wouldnt suprise me if we scrape through to finals and then go on a tear and make the grand final/ win the premiership. Teams are so even this year and when teams have strung a few wind together tend to get on a roll (port, blues, GWS). This plays into bevos hands being the ultimate motivator.
Says alot when I don't have faith in a win against Hawks in H&A but can see us beating anyone when properly motivated.

We’ve actually played really good football in all our games this year besides the first 2 rounds. Unfortunately we’ve played some putrid footy to go with it.

Our Best is really good, as we saw today and in games against the Cats, Pies, Port etc. We just don’t see it through long enough periods in games as our Bad is WC/North type bad.

If we can somehow fix the issues between our ears, we can no doubt make an impact in finals. I just don’t see it happening.

I think this is a bad example actually. I quite like the Suns list and they have under performed like us which is why the coach was sacked. They have good talent across every line and are particularly strong in the midfield. They lack small forwards and maybe another quick running defender but other then that the list looks quite good and will only improve given the young talent on their list. They also have very good depth unlike us and are on top of the ladder in the VFL for a reason. I'd argue a fair few players currently playing VFL would get games for us.

The better example would be the team that just beat us. The fact that they beat us without their best clearance winning midfielder and without their best key forward is very disappointing given the stakes. I don't think their list is really that good in general. They lost good players in Tarranto, Hopper and Hill last year and finished 3rd last. Kingsley is looking like a very good coach.

It's individual brilliance from a core group of players that's managed to keep us in games and win games.
It's an impossible task to expect them to dominate from 1st bounce to last bounce.
Totally agree that we could impact finals. But at the same time we could lose all of our remaining games.

Agree our best is good enough, however at what point do we accept we do not have the cattle to play the game plan for at least 80% of the game to ensure we win games like today and 6 others this year we should have won?

True, but 2015,2019, 2020 and 2022 we did.not amd were out week 1 and 2017 and 2018 did not make the finals at all. That is 2 out of 8. Can't see it being any more than 2 out of 9.

True consistency and success is at least making Prelims on a regular basis. We have not gone close to that consistency

This is the problem though and has been for a while. We can be playing well and appear in complete control of the game, but fail to actually do any scoreboard damage. This isn’t a ‘practice our goal kicking’ post either we just don’t move the ball with any purpose or put ourselves in scoring positions. Then all it takes is a 5 min lapse where we aren’t absolutely 100% switched on and suddenly scores are level
