We can't go letting every player who isn't a matchwinner slip through our fingers though or we'll never build a squad capable of challenging.
I can just see Mundy leaving and the Vic press suddenly going gaga over his poise and skill. Then we get to spend yet another year of every moron with a mouth or keyboard giving us a hard time over another player we traded away.
(Speaking of which, why do the eagles never get a hard time about the players they trade away? Morton is carving it up for the Tiges but no one has criticised them for trading him. Meanwhile we've been copping it from every angle about Medders.)
I doubt he'll be an option. Essendon fans seem to worship the ground his poxy coloured boots walk on.

Didnt say they would let him go. The question was asked about a local wanting to come home... Maybe Farren wants to come home, he doesnt have to re-sign with the dogs if he wants to leave.
Mundy would attract interest from clubs in Melbourne. Most likely we will get draft pick/s for him.
I think we all want Mundy to stay but no hard in having a bit of idle speculation about who we might get for him if he does want to go back to Vic. He's a good player and would certainly have currency. i would have thought between him and Murphy we should be able to get someone of the calibre of Ray or Reimers. Murphy would do well as a leading FF at the Bullies playing mostly at Telstra Dome with Cooney and co putting it down his throat. He's a one trick pony but it's a good trick.

I'm not in the belief that he wants to leave the club, therefore I am not going to bag him with stupid rumours.
The mob up the road have plenty of cap space. Lets say we offer him $250-300K a year and they offer $400,000 where would you go if you were Farren?
If you think Mundy's career is in jeopardy because a few people on a silly website think he's weak as piss it says a lot about your opinion of those who run the footy club.
