positives

- Bont & Smith
- having some forward structure with Toyd back

Negatives from the game

- should have won by 12 goals
- Stringer's shoulder injury

over to you...

I'm sick of not absolutely smashing sides.

This was better than the last few weeks, but we could've and should've won by 100. Need to start dominating these teams on the scoreboard as well as around the ground.

At least clay is well and truly back.

feel it, definitely feel it. On the bright side we win close games

Not often you can be annoyed at a 40+ win, but that was annoying.

Nothing has changed, it's the same every week.

Dominate disposal and inside 50s but Poor goal kicking once again.

If we miss top 4 due to % we have no one to blame but ourselves.

No doubt people will say I'm being negative, but I'm thinking long term. If we want to do anything in the finals we have to improve our forward work otherwise it will be a short campaign

Let's just look at the positives tonight. We won an important game to stay in the hunt for top 4. Clay and Wallis phenomenal. Boyd and Redpath is going to work. Boyd had 9 score involvements, and Red hat a lot of shots on goal and should have kicked 4 or 5. If North can go 9-0 with Waite, Petrie AND Brown. Why can't we go all the way with Stringer, Boyd and Red as our key forwards?? We are a young team who one Again interstate.

Well done on the win Dogs, got it done. Clay was an animal, his contested work was the best in the team. Daniel very good, best user in be team. Boyd was solid, did everything we could have asked. Wallis stepped up as mid & fed. Stevens is definitely in our best team, just give him a couple of weeks. Picken was great at times, hard at it, usually good with the ball and still has a lot of speed. Jong was good, better as an inside mod than flanker.

Despite the above (rant alert), to only out score that Suns team by a goal in the second half, despite dominating in the back half and having so much of the ball, is a gigantic indictment on our mids and their disgustingly shonky disposal, the constant jiggery near goal that wasted chances and the lackluster goal kicking.

Could have wrested back a significant chunk of percentage tonight. Missed opportunity.

But a win is a win and I'll take it.

We got the win without any scares so on one hand that's good.

On another after showing great forward efficiency in the 1st half we got lazy in the 2nd and returned to old bad habits.

Positives: Clay Smith, Wallis best game for months, Jong, Macrae, Bont, Picken, Hunter, Boyd and Red, number of shots on goal. Stevens, Biggs. 3rd on the ladder

Negatives: Stringer, form and injury. Roberts de-list, not even worth trading. Goal kicking. Dickson terrible
