Freo 2022 blew a top 4 chance, finished 5th and won their first final at Optus. However they ran into Collingwood in Week 2 and lost to the Pies at the 'G.

Just shows how hard it is to win 3 finals in a row away from home to the flag. Only has been done once since 2000

As for the dockers 2022 season, I am happy how it panned out.


I was happy getting 5th and an Elim final win. That was freos 1st finals win since 2015 when Freo had an ageing squad.

Mundy and Walters were the only 2 blokes that played on that 2015 qualifying final vs swans that played in that 2022 Elim final vs the dogs.

That was a 7 year gap between 2 finals wins
