Yeah. I lost 'em the game.
No you didn't.
It was you and the 10,000 like you.
It was so obvious the fans had stayed away it was depressing. Can't imagine how disappointd the players are walking through the banner and seeing that.

Bruce is past it whether as a back or forward. The ACL cooked him unfortunately
The only fault to Williams' game is he can't tackle for shit. Goes at the waist when he has players cold and leaves their arms free for the easy release.A few comments:
- We didn't lose it because of the umpiring but that was a shocking display. It seems to have got worse rather than better since they went with 4 umpires.
- English is overrated as a ruckman. I reckon just play him as a libero midfielder where he could be a useful player. If we really think taps are worth winning get someone like Sweet in to at least neutralise them. Otherwise put Baker in the ruck. Keep English away from the hitouts. (Note: I think he got quite a few taps in the last qtr as his opponent tired so that'll make his stats look not quite as bad as his ruckwork was.)
- Bailey Smith couldn't win a one-on-one against any decent hard-nosed midfielder or half back in the AFL. Like English he is overrated. I wouldn't get rid of him because we need his pace but the combination of poor disposal and lack of hard-arsed grunt means he's unlikely to ever reach elite level as a player. Just a good B-grader. Just underlines how much we're going to need to hit the draft for midfielders, because Baz was our great hope.
- Arthur Jones ... sorry time for a break mate. I'm sure he'll come back as he has ability and heart but his confidence must be shot.
- Libba is an inspiration. Intelligent footballer, determined and strong. Wish we could clone him.
- Williams is one of our success stories in a disappointing year.
- Marra is quietly moving from potential star to actual star. These days I have a lot of confidence that he'll mark or emerge with the ground ball. That wasn't the case last year or even in the first few games this year.
- Treloar has some real ticker. At his third club against his wishes he could be excused for just collecting his cheque (sorry, his direct deposit) every week but he really tries his guts out. I love that. He was one of our best again.
- Bont was much better this week. Daniel was again in the top 3.
- I take back some of what I said about VDM. He did OK and has earned another shot at it next week.
Maybe Bruce who is a natural forward. If you put Naugton down back who are you putting forward. JUH and Lobb as your two key forwards aren’t getting you anywhere. At least Naughton will always draw attention
We don't owe the players anything. You think the crowd won or lost this game??? You should look to the coach's box and football department before you blame the supporters. FMD.No you did

Don't think so, more so that he could do better there than he is as a forward so it's worth a go
If this is a big part of it I think we need to have more of a discussion about them. Who are you referring to?Firstly our coaching group is sub par no doubt.
Secondly you are kidding yourself if you believe this playing group is any better than mediocre, particularly where some are being played.
Some of the player efforts including so called better players have been embarrassing over the last few weeks
Really? That’s surprising to hear.Liam Jones has been one of our best players this year
Think people are being overly harsh on English.
Had a shocker tonight no doubt, but been just about our best player so far this year.
Really? That’s surprising to hear.
The club needs a lesson from time to time to remind them that if they continue to serve up shit football like the last two weeks fans won’t turn up.It wasn't Arty Jones who didn't touch the ball.
It wasn't the butcher called Bruce
It wasn't Tim English who was rag-dolled like a rookie
IT WAS OUR PATHETIC SUPPORTERS WHO FAILED TO TURN UP ON A BLOODY FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!
23K. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL.
Our pressure forwards need to do something about teams going coast to coast 8 times like Port did tonight.Of all Dog players why is Jones getting bashed? Probably had more tackles than most the side and we need the speed.
Our pressure smalls don’t need huge stats
You’re kidding aren’t ya? How’s our backline going? How’s our forward line going? We are back. We fought to the end, but were beaten by an elite team on a hot streak (which we started…)
We will be better for the break and will come home strong now
How do you think we would have gone tonight if we swapped him and Bruce?Better than 50 goals a year in back to back years?
No doubt he’s not doing as well this year but the coaching is not helping when we keep playing him as the deepest forward to wrestle and outmuscle opponents rather than get up the ground and work back to goal
