Ffs, you lot are going to Winx the flag again aren't you.
I think we'd have to continue on what would might be the longest winning streak in our club's entire history to do so.

Wouldn't it be nice though...

Dunkley’s 2nd half season spike is unbelievable. The improvement reminds me of Jobe Watson who went from bland player to A grade midfielder over the course of a pre-season. Dunks is a genuine star of the competition now.

I'm not liking the comparison, due to the correlation between Watsons improvement and a certain supplements saga.

Stats are everything nowadays Lach, so you either are involved at U10 level or your club is stuck in the 90’s.
If you don’t rate Score Launches as a line barometer for a player in the AFL then you don’t rate clearances, HB receives, pressure acts and goal assists either. Which, for someone who seems pretty switched on, is astounding.

Apologies if you aren’t a Caleb Daniel Out gang member, I must’ve mistaken you for all the others.

I seem to doing people’s heads in so thats my last post on the matter.

Go Dogs !!!
Again statistics not in context are useless. Statistics is context can be valuable.

I am involved a little higher than under 10 level and most definitely am at a club not on the 90's and am possibly am a little higher than a level 1 auskick coach.

May even have a reasonable grasp on how our coaches work with stats, but clearly not at your level Charlie.

Personally I rate Durea though I was against his recruitment and Crozier ahead of Daniel as small backs. I have posted and stand by I do rate Daniel I would like to see him played much higher up the ground now he has confidence.

Anyway apologies to all other posters bored with this discussion. A great performance today after a scratchy first half. Hope we continue next week

Young/Cordy worked in defense with the giants missing their preferred key forwards - but can't rely on that and need Trengove back there, he's just been too good for us down back. We were also beaten aerially in the first half in part because we were used to having Tim's height around the ground. So bringing him right back in (assuming he's good to go) would be ideal. But the question becomes who to drop.

A lot of talk about Hayes and Dale - but in all honesty I'm not sure if Richards has been any better than either of those two, and he's had a lot of chances this season without really having the breakout game we've been waiting for.

Bev doesn't like rolling with three tall defenders unless the third is Moz, so will be interesting to see if that's the case next week. Would be very hard pressed to drop Young and Cordy seems very safe.

Going to be a very interesting situation. Hard to make changes when you win big and nobody really has a bad game.

Don’t understand the anti-Cordy feeling. Premiership player, has spent the last three seasons playing on far bigger blokes, gives 100% every time

So if you happen to be lucky enough to play in a premiership and try hard you can’t be criticised. To me the best thing to come out of today was Lewis Young. Better than anything ever seen from Cordy.

And as for Caleb. I breathe easier when he has ball in hand.

Duryeas defensive experience really stood out for me several times today, and I can see Daniel gaining that sort of defensive nous over time- hes relatively new to defence and hes a smart cookie. He will never be good at defending the ball in the air but he could become a ground ball terrier. Hes 5cm TALLER than Libba senior.

Some people back ideas and then regardless will just continue to do so regardless of the evidence for or against.

I could back up your own personal experience but that’s unnecessary as we both know who you are and what you do.

The one stat that no one who back Daniel in the backline brings up is his scores against on turnover compared to score involvements but hey let’s not let little issues like relevance cloud the issue.

Was a really good win after we made the clearly obvious changes at half time and let’s hope we don’t sh!t the bed next week in another game we should win easily imo

Watching replay again up to second quarter end. Love how Bont took out both Williams and Haynes in quick succession as a statement and then followed up with laughing in the face of Davis and a strong conversation with umpire at half time. Continued taunting Davis and our big game bunny Heath Shaw in the last. He’s going to be the Wayne Carey/Michael Voss level captain when he takes over.

Absolutely!! Haven’t seen this from a dogs player since probably Libba of 2016.

A great opportunity next week MD, let's hope we take it.

Thought we slowed the game down well in the second half and became cleaner with our ball use.

Only change next week if Libba is fit is for Hayes. Not sure who is out for English. After a slow start Lewis Young was very impressive and should not make way

Libba is a pest. Bont is physically imposing and can follow it up with inspirational feats. Leads the team so often forward of half back. Always talking to his team mates. Just saw an example early in the third where he gives young Smith a big wrap after a tackle. On the bench near the end of first with Bevo they were deep in coversation. Just in awe of the young man.
