Boy, I loved watching the Roos when Carey, King, Martyn Archer et al were playing. Hard, tough, brilliant football that I loved even when they played the Dogs.
Sadly, Saturday finished that off for me. To see a sniping, dirty bloke like Thompson getting into Hall from before the bounce was cringeworthy. The more you guys say how good it was, and that it was all Hall's fault, the less I see any of that old spirit. All I see is a self righteous bunch who can't see waht everyone else sees. this is from the coach all the way down to the last supporter.
I see King as a true North man - a star in a great side, one that made the finals 10 years running.
Says a lot about your club that he's not considered a Roos man any more.
All I see is a club to be despised.
With all due respect, you appear to be very bitter mate. Much like our former player, who when we had made the decision to stay in Melbourne - if he were acting in the best interests of the club, should have kept to his opinion to himself.
He's perfectly entitled to his opinion, but he's sadly mistaken if he ever think he will be held in high regard at the club by a majority of the supporters.
Scott Thompson is no different to any other tagger that's played the game.
Again, like I've said in many other threads, a lot of people on BigFooty let the actions of others heavily influence their opinion of a club. Why? People on BigFooty don't represent the widespread views of their own club.
Fair few Dogs fans have said a few things, but that's not going to let me change my opinion of the Dogs, really hope they do well this season.
As I said in another thread, the main person at fault was the umpire for the lack of action in paying a free kick for Scotty nudging over Hall which was at the very worst unneccesary and silly.
Good luck for rest of the season, and I know footy is an emotional game. But I wish posters from all clubs (including ours) on BigFooty would excercise a bit of common sense, and take a step back from the situation and at least try to look at the issue objectively.
