Same, I used to love The Prince, even with all his antics.
Inoue has similar speed as well. In the exchange that sent Fulton down, The Monster hit him with a left jab to the stomach, then the follow up right was instantaneous. Fulton wouldn’t have even seen it coming.
I remember Maloney saying a few years back that Inoue hit him a couple of times and he didn’t see it.
Prince was the Indian rubber man , I don't think anyone landed a punch on him in his prime

Would have been interesting the Monster vs the Prince. The Prince had Matrix like evasiveness, but Inoues precision is like a jet fighters laser missiles.

On Inoues power, you have to be careful not to over compensate, because those Liver punches of his is what truly makes him a monster.
And as history has shown, if he gets that Liver punch in, it’s fight over. If you get up he’ll be in your face, throwing some big shots, and if you raise your arms, or bring the elbow out for a fraction of a second, he’s going for that Liver again, and he won’t miss.
Very special fighter.

Premiership window. Despite our loss, we've moved from 5th to 4th best offence, whilst maintaining our best defence status.

Melbourne and Brisbane remain the only others in the window. Carlton definitely challenging! 3rd best defence and 8th offence. Fortunately top 4 is most llikely out of reach to them with only 4 games to play. Their run home: St Kilda @ Marvel, Melbourne @ MCG, Gold Coast @ Heritage Bank, GWS @ Marvel.

The ladder since the start of the bye rounds - Pies have now lost top spot and have dropped to third on the back of last round's loss. Not surpringly, the two in-form teams are GWS and Carlton in this back half of the season.

looking at all of this begs the question... how the fk did we lose to Hawthorn

Monday stuff....Starting to show our form drop now

Ladder since round 12 first and we're no longer top 4.

View attachment 1767073

Premiership window we're now the 6th best offence. Weeks ago, we were 4th. Still hanging in there as the best defence, on the back of our start to the year.

Carlton are now the 2nd best defence and concerningly, also the 8th best offence overall, and this is largely on the back of their most recent several games.

Geelong are also annoyingly just hanging around.

That's one game too many for the Dockers, BTW (should be 2 - 7)!

Ive kept a GPS log, Kms we run in a match vs our opponents, and our sprints vs opponents sprints

Its not overly useful as its a result of game plan vs game plan.

Interesting to note that even though we played hard during finals, we didnt run much extra or at high speed compared to our average. But maybe the high pressure locks the ball movement down a bit, so thats maybe where physical strength (gym markers) may give more insight for tackles/breaking tackles in packs.

At Marvel, us and our opponents run much less, but we tend to run much more at high speed than them

The Port game was the 2nd most kms we have run under Fly but also the 6th most at high speed this season, 4th if you rule out the marvel games. So it definitely was a taxing game

The Blue definitely brought a lot more running power into rd 20 compared to round 10

I added more history against fellow contenders, the Demons , we seem to run less at high speed against them and that has gotten the job done last year

In our loss to the Lions we put in a lot of KM's and sprints in, so we were completely outplayed. It was the start of the ruck crisis and away, but none the less the effort was high.

The Hawks game is our biggest negative differential for a game. We let them run 10km more than us.

Lastly even though we had the 5 day break after Anzac day that didnt impact our GPS numbers vs Adelaide, and i havent payed too much attention to breaking the stats down into quarters, but in the last quarter at Anzac day we smashed them by so much it stood out.

Am in absolute pain tonight and couldn't really cheer. So happy now as at least I can smile.

Was at the dentist for two hours getting treatment. Had a root canal two weeks ago and my Periodontist found that there was a crack in the root so spent two hours 2pm - 4.20pm trying to see if she could repair. No hope so had it removed, bone graft and now will have to pay for an implant.

Have spent a fortune on my teeth this year as no way am I going Collingwood toothless.

That sounds horrendous, all power to you fronting up to the footy after all that. What an afternoon you’ve had!

She has put in about 6 stitches and two are driving me crazy, the ends are too long and are digging in my cheek and tongue.

Going to ask a friend tomorrow to trim for me with nail clippers.

But still so happy for the win, hate losing on a Friday night.

I sympathise with you. I broke a heavily filled molar 4 days before going to Thailand. Managed to get it repaired but 2 weeks later, on my birthday, I had problems with the tooth then the jaw. Have had 2 types of antibiotics and trying a third tomorrow. X-rays clear the tooth of infection yet all the symptoms point to an infection. I seem to be getting better, then relapse. If the tooth needs a root canal, I think I will opt for an endodontist again and pay extra for the expertise. Don't have enough big teeth left to take risks with crucial teeth in my mouth, and probably don't have enough bone for an implant.. But I wish I could get to the bottom of this problem. Your periodontist obviously has an x-ray machine. Unbelievably, mine doesn't.

Yes xrays are important, took a lot of photos, that is how she saw the crack and warned me it may have to go.

I also had a gum infection which she had to cut and lift the gum up and clean out.

Maybe that is your problem?

The gum is fine and I can happily eat on the tooth. The pain/discomfort is in the jaw and neck and comes and goes. Given me a headache tonight. Been like this for a month now.

Better get it checked as doesn't sound right especially if you have taken antibiotics.

It has been checked. Going to try the third antibiotic (felt better after using the last but relapsed). Don't quite know where to go from here other than get a 2nd opinion. Hate getting older.

This! Especially if the mind is still sharp but the body keeps breaking down.

It's time to let it go buddy. you wouldn't be a true Collingwood supporter if you had all your teeth. I'd rip that little sucker right out and it's one less tooth they have to remove when you get falsies

Problem is that it may not be the cause of the problem and that is what I am trying to establish. If it was extracted and the problem persists, I'd never forgive myself. Also not sure how falsies would sit on the bottom jaw with the bone loss I've had. Don't want to end up with a sunken mouth and flapping gums like my cousin who won't wear his falsies.

Oh no, not the bottom jaw, that will lead to not only a saggy jaw but it makes it really hard to chew on a steak. Keep that little sucker if it's on the bottom

You must have gone through some money on one tooth. A root canal, extraction, gum treatment and an implant adds up to quite a sum!

$1900 plus looking at $3-4K for an implant and my private health insurance has reached its limit. Lucky my dentist for normal stuff is a friend and doesn't charge me much. However specialists almost put their own price on treatment.

Could have had a nice holiday.

Ever since I was a little kid have had a phobia about dentures. Watching people with ill fitting dentures play with them in their mouth looks ugly.

Much much cheaper than I thought. I assume not a molar. I am the same regarding dentures. Just started my third lot of antibiotics with which I cannot consume alcohol. I stalled starting till after last night's game but am going to have a problem next Friday night.
