If Sanders has multi-cultural heritage through his mother (which I have no idea whether that's the case), then him qualifying for a program, which is designed to increase the opportunities for young people to learn about and play the game of Australian Rules football, would be right up there with Nick Blakey and the Sydney academy rort. As I understand it, Sanders' father is a significant figure in Tasmanian football.
Doesn’t really matter Witt the way they have the nga set up

If Wayne Carey has a kid with someone born overseas - they’ll be accessible for the nga

Carey wouldn't need to have a child with someone born overseas for that child to be accessible through nga. Carey makes them eligible.

And neither are we - we've had our dip, that's it
If they gave us a first round pp last year then I’d agree

But as they haven’t then it was always going to still be up for grabs this year. They should have just given it to us last year so we wouldn’t have the same convo this year

Bad KFC is the absolute pits. I won’t go there anymore. Glenroy KFC should be avoided at all costs.
Shut down 8 years ago.
Now a Dominos.

Fun fact. I worked there for a few weeks in 2005 on minimum wage which was $5.12 an hour. Still have the payslips lol
Didn’t last long when I realized I was getting ripped but what I lost in wages I made up for in buckets of chicken taken home lol

Was taught how the gravy was made. Not OHS at all

They simply expected 2 mature players and Clarko to get us over the threshold of 5 wins this year thus negating the need for more compo.

We won’t see a PP after pick 2/3 at the most if BMac bails they will add the secret herbs and spices to move the compo from pick 22 or there abouts to be somewhere mid table somehow..

With the way they shafted us last year, with the way Gilligan came out and said they didn’t want to compromise the draft with compo there is no way it’s happening this year….!

An extended period of West Coast in the shitter has to keep AFL executives awake at nights with their Christmas bonuses tied to crowd numbers and ratings figures. If throwing us a bone this year helps them give West Coast a huge leg up in the future, they will do it.

I just can't see us getting a first round priority pick.

Best case is access to an NGA player.
More realistic is another F2 to trade or a sneaky boost on McKay compo.
Mckercher and pick 2 seems like a good outcome imo. Keeping McKay and TT in that situation too.

Mckercher is not nga.
Sanders likely would be tho

I'm interested by this, he's been listed in our NGA previously.

Listed here: Next Generation Academy – Northern Tasmania | AFL Tasmania

And here: U14 NGA North Boys team named for Game 2 | AFL Tasmania

This was ESPN's April power rankings:

9. Colby McKercher
Tasmanian Devils/Allies
MID, 181cm, 76kg
Talent League: 1 game, 31 disposals, 5 tackles

The leading Tasmanian prospect is an inside-outside midfielder with an abundance of poise under pressure. McKercher is quick and can find space, helping him rack up the ball and move the chains with regularity. He's a North Melbourne NGA prospect but the Roos can't match a bid inside the first 40 picks on draft night.

Give us em both. Don't need a PP then

Pick at 2 (ours)
Pick at 3 (McKay)
Pick at 16 (Port)

McKercher and Sanders (+Sausage)

Watson
Caddy
Freijah
McKercher
Sanders

See you later rebuild.
Agree.

Also, NGA's are a blight on the competition and need to go. The best we can hope for is for certain, more equal in the Animal Farm sense clubs to not get much out of these whilst other clubs do too well - that's the way it gets resolved. Ultimately we need Coll, Rich, Ess etc holding up the bottom of the ladder for a few years.
