I reckon the shiteness of West Coast has cost us any chance of a PP.
the opposite i mentioned earlier i reckon its helped us get a first round pp after our pick as opposed to before eagles pick

we are a modern day precedent for the afl now

if they want to help the eagles going forward without media and other clubs backlash then its about being fair.

last year we were 9 wins in 3 seasons
eagles are currently 13 wins in 3 seasons

they are where we were in 2021 when we got nothing, next year they are on track for what we got last year, in 2 years time they are on track for what we get this year

But many years ago the Red Rooster on Pacco Pd was awesome.
I used to love the chicken roll with mayo,,,,,sadly these days the bang em in the microwave and the bread comes out tasting both stale and soggy all at once. Id
Shut down 8 years ago.
Now a Dominos.

Fun fact. I worked there for a few weeks in 2005 on minimum wage which was $5.12 an hour. Still have the payslips lol
Didn’t last long when I realized I was getting ripped but what I lost in wages I made up for in buckets of chicken taken home lol

Was taught how the gravy was made. Not OHS at all
My son just quit Grill'd after 3 months working there on $11.90 an hour....went to toast the buns and found some cockroaches in amonst them,,,,,asked the manager if he should throw them out,,,,"no, just make sure you toast them well".....hey they are the "Healthy Burger" may refer to extra protein.....now I have a 16yo who wont eat fast food!

There used to be a place in Kensington that would make fresh chicken rolls. They had half a dozen different varieties and had fresh rolls, fresh salad and would carve up the chicken on ordering. It was awesome. I can’t believe most chicken shops just serve the microwaved horror story. It’s such a missed opportunity.

I went for a chicken and gravy roll the other day, first time in years. Was from a highly rated place but was insipid. Rather just have a bahn mi

West Coast's dramatic fall from grace doesn't yet warrant the club being granted a priority draft pick, AFL executive member Travis Auld says.

Once an on-field force to match their off-field riches, the Eagles have won just three of their last 40 games and are at the lowest point in club history.

Saturday's record 171-point defeat to Sydney extended their losing streak to 12 matches, during which the average margin has been more than 78 points.

The historically poor run has poured heat on West Coast's hierarchy - in particular coach Adam Simpson and chief executive Trevor Nisbett - and drawn comparisons with Fitzroy's infamously bad 1996 campaign.

But it has come less than five years after the Eagles won the 2018 premiership, while they missed the top eight by one win in 2021 after playing finals for the previous six consecutive seasons.

Auld said the AFL is in discussions with West Coast about their plight but is not yet ready to hand the fallen power club any draft assistance to help dig them out of the mire.

"Not at this point. They haven't asked for one and we don't give priority picks in the middle of the season," Auld told reporters on Wednesday.

"We're having conversations with West Coast about how we can support them and we'll continue to do that, like we do with any football clubs.

"That's not unusual and not directed just at them.

"Whether they feel like they're in a position to apply for a priority pick is their decision and that doesn't occur until sometime later."

The Eagles will consider trading the No.1 draft pick if, as expected, they secure it by finishing last this season.

It could land them two top-10 selections and more in return, with rival clubs setting their sights on securing highly-talented Vic Country prospect Harley Reid.

Media backlash :$

As if the AFL media is going to do anything. They will:

1. Justify the decision
2. Then sweep it under the rug and never bring it up again

Bunch of sycophants. No one wants to be kicked out of the AFL feeding trough.

It’s funny at the start of the year I said the best we could hope for is prelist NGA prospects, now mckercher and sanders both look like early picks, I can see the afl up in arms about that too..
Someone at the club should point the dearth of nga players we’ve had compared to every other club

Be gone for many years Ferb's. Was only ever two of them iirc.
Its weird cos I hadn't thought about it for ages but happened to drive past and looked to see if it was there. I'm sure I've done exactly the same thing and seen it not there about 20 years ago too.

Ralphy bringing up PP discussion for North and WCE. They said too early for WCE to get PP, need 3-4 years of bottom 4.
Joey said yes to us but reckoned similar to last year's package as the AFL won't want to disrupt the 1st round order.
Kingy pushed back on the trade for player stipulation, saying just give the pick and let the club do whatever.
Ralphy said mid 1st round pick which the AFL will never do, especially with Tassie coming in.
End of 1st perhaps most likely we can hope for imo hopefully without player stipulation.

I'd be okay with an end if first compared to last year's shit show deal. We don't have our 2nd year so effectively it would be the same as our 2nd anyways. Go on with 2, 18, 19 to start with possible mckay compo.

I just don’t get why we should be ok with much less than what other clubs have received just because we are North Melbourne.
We 100% should be getting a priority pick after our first, plus more.
We’ve won 6 games in 60+ or something. We need assistance. Done.
