You know how every year there is a draft crush or two that people have. Well, for the picks that we currently have, I have 3 in Bailey Smith, Jye Caldwell and Riley Collier-Dawkins.

I am hoping for one of the first 2 at pick 8 and RCD at 13. If we can get two of those boys with our first 2 picks.....well **** me I just might need to excuse myself on Thursday night.

IMHO, all 3 have genuine star qualities...they just have IT whatever IT is.

We think a like Stiffy ......but I'd add Ben King to that group as well ....and no Rozee ?

After watching some interviews with Bailey Smith, I wouldn’t be going anywhere near him as Adelaide. Obviously he may be different in private interviews but looks like one of the bigger flight risks I’ve seen.

Just look at all the talent that moved Clubs this off season. None of them were worth three 1sts.

Some of those players are proven A grade AFL players too.

Not too many better performed "smalls" in this draft I wouldn't think when his SANFL Finals are taken into account against grown men and previous to that his U18 form playing mainly midfield shits all over the likes of Cameron, Hill, Foot, Bedford etc against their own age group all of whom have been spoken about widely, perhaps a little different game style wise to the aforementioned players but a lot more impactful and consistent throughout games. Very Ned McHenry style about him who is widely tipped to go in the 2nd round.

They will be bashed from pillar to post, if their Pick 1, ie Rankine wants out early in his career.

Walsh is the safe secure and astute pick. Rankine is the pick that if it comes off can propel them into the 8 in about 4-5 years time.

I like both Rozee and B. King and would be ecstatic with either but in terms of draft crushes, Caldwell, Smith and Collier-Dawkins are mine this year.

You will not see me complaining at all if we get King or Rozee both will be stars. Either way, we should get a prospect with star potential at 8.
