which is understandable with SA being 7% of australias population, similar to which state produces any sports athletes it is driven by both Population and Popularity of the sport, ie Swimming, Cricket Cycling and so on

I don't care if opposition clubs hate our players either. I do care if I hate them though. To me there is more to supporting a football club than just hoping they win. I want to feel proud of the club for the way they do things - which I do. I couldn't be proud watching Greene spitting on the opposition while wearing Crows colours.

For the most part I don't care what players do off the field as long as it doesn't affect their performance. That is their business and they are entitled to their privacy but I don't like when players carry on like idiots on field. That includes Joel Selwood - I wouldn't take him for free either.

Will be interesting to see if their both available at 13 who we actually go with. Feel like RCD has the higher ceiling, but Hately is the safer bet...

I guess with drafting you are not drafting for the now most of the time so I wouldn’t be disappointed but I would question how he and Matt crouch play in the same side

His footy IQ is outstanding and think he can be a very good player , prob suits others as you say more than us . That kicking on both sides and decision making is sublime

I actually think he’s the most underrated of all the SA players , rather than Hately

I've always thought he's underrated around here too. His name never gets mentioned.

Reminds me a lot of Trent Cotchin in the way that he plays. Think he won't be a superstar as he doesn't have the traits to be, but will be one of those solid B+ grade midfielders that just continues to give 110% week in and out. That, along with some very tidy kicking on either side of his body and a very high footy IQ, think he would be an extremely handy and consistent cog in a strong midfield for years to come.

You know how every year there is a draft crush or two that people have. Well, for the picks that we currently have, I have 3 in Bailey Smith, Jye Caldwell and Riley Collier-Dawkins.

I am hoping for one of the first 2 at pick 8 and RCD at 13. If we can get two of those boys with our first 2 picks.....well **** me I just might need to excuse myself on Thursday night.

IMHO, all 3 have genuine star qualities...they just have IT whatever IT is.

Love the article about Boyd Woodcock this morning. Talks about the niggling, in your face role Josh Carr had for him. Antagonising the opposition.

Just the type of player we don't really have (and have never had really. Maybe Riley Knight to a degree and we look better when he's fit and playing). The type of player you hate in opposition teams.

Ned McHenry is like that. We’re linked to him as a possible selection at pick 21.

If Rankine is considered a flight risk he will reach Port at 5.

I think GCS will take Rozee at 3.

I would absolutely love to have Rankine, but to give up 3 first rounders for a player who hasn’t even debuted yet would be ridiculous. I’m saying that you said you’d give 3 1st rounders but that’s what it would cost from those in the know.
We should get 4 good players this draft. I would want the club to be all over Rankine every year though.

Agree - 8 and 13 is my limit. Would pay that for either.

Anymore is too much and I'm sure we wouldn't entertain it.

Club should be ensuring that Andrew McLeod racks up massive Frequent Flyer points to wherever Rankine ends up (if outside SA) .
