Richmonds flags were built off of priority picks and we are the ones 'used' to them?

And I'd love to know how we have mismanaged our draft hand?

We only effectively traded a R2 pick.

We've taken a heap of talent, a lot which is still to come into the side.

We don't need 8 selections this year.

Of course to you, everything is perfect in kangaroo land

You still think me saying that Nth want to trade Pick 2 and F1

is a "complete and utter fabrication", so of course to you, having pick 2 and 64 is perfect

It wasn't a knock on Larkey, he's elite. My question was who's quality underneath him? Support for Larkey is literally their biggest need.

**** me North fans are precious.

****ing hell. I asked a simple question and I'm the precious one?

It's not the Richmond board, we are allowed to comment on one of your posts....

Xerri, Logue, Will Dawson, Goad and now Darling?

What should North ideally have in your view? A Bulldogs spread of elite young talls?

Why do we HAVE to take this player and ignore best available?

Why couldn't the side develop and we recruit someone in that role by other means like anyone else?

All of Cameron, Danniher and Hogan were traded for by their current clubs.

No comment on North's draft hand. Only here to make a comment on Richmond's priority pick history.

From my understanding, it is a stretch to say Richmond's flags were built on priority picks. Our draft hands were more impacted by Carlton and Melbourne's priority picks. Only priority pick I can recall is Rance at 18 in the 2007 draft.

Well, im sure you watch some AFL football right? You tell me?

Charlie Comben - 200cm KPD/KPF
Will Dawson - 203cm KPD/KPF
Nick Larkey - 198cm KPF
Griffen Logue - 191cm KPD
Aiden Corr - 194cm KPD
Jack Darling - 191cm KPF
Toby Pink - 194cm KPD/KPF
Tristian Xerri - 201cm Ruck
Brynn Teakle - 203cm Ruck/FWD
Taylor Goad - 207cm Ruck
CCJ - 200cm Ruck/FWD

You never answered my question, how many do sides need?

Here's the previous few premiership KPF combo's (and the runner up):

2024 - Danniher/Hipwood - Amartey/McDonald
2023 - Cox/Mihocek - Danniher/Hipwood
2022 - Cameron/Hawkins - Franklin/Reid
2021 - Brown/McDonald - Naughton/S.Martin
2020 - Riewoldt/Lynch - Hawkins/Rohan
2019 - Riewoldt/Lynch - Cameron/Finlayson
2018 - Kennedy/Darling - Cox/Mihocek

There's some fairly good duo's in that list, but some equally non-existant ones....

If we assume Larkey is at least on the Danniher level and above Brown, Cox etc. How hard is it to find a Cox/Mihocek or a Hipwood or a Finlayson or a Reid?

It would be great to land a Cameron or Kennedy, but if they aren't there and don't represent value, I think I'd just prefer another Dangerfield or Cousins personally. I think as we get better, players will want to move for some finals action, we can pick up a key forward down the track.

Problem with nth is that they are used to afl freebies

Not only do they want great picks for unders, but they also want to give up their picks for overs

Why?

Because they have mismanaged their draft hand, and they want the other teams to bail them out

and anyone that thinks otherwise, is part of an AFL led, media conspiracy

Name a club that doesn't want great picks for under's or give up pick for overs?

Bigfooty - at its best......

Sides need more than what Richmond currently have...

So.....no one good apart from Larkey, hence why North is so keen on yet another one in Tauru. Got it.

North Fans.

That is if you assume we would be recruiting him as a KPF, after about 3 qtrs of football there?

Again, Larkey + anyone breathing is better than Collingwood have managed to put out there and it hasn't prevented them from getting success.

I think the development of Duursma, Sheezel forward of center, Curtis, Zurhaar and hopefully George with some luck, is much more important to our offence than simply another tall forward.

Darling will have to do in the short term and Comben is moving forward by all reports.

Moving Comben forward would be a strange development if you intended on recruiting Tauru, would it not?

Still makes one fall through. I’d be shocked if anyone until our picks remotely wants talls
I’d be shocked if at least 3 haven’t been taken by then (any or all of Tauru, Armstrong, Shanahan, Whitlock x 2, Trainor).

If we split 8 and change for 15 and 16 you can pretty much bet your bottom dollar that we’ll be going tall with at least one of them.

This offseason we’ve lost 6 “talls” from our list and so far haven’t added any. It’s a big need for us.

This is laughable to suggest Richmond's flags were built off priority picks. Alex Rance was the only priority pick in the last 20 years, and he played in one of the three premierships. Try again.

If Carlton take Draper that throws a cat amongst the pigeons. Seems like outside of Draper, the name most heavily linked with Adelaide is Langford?
Hypothetically Lalor 1, Tauru 2, Ashcroft somewhere around 3-5, Carlton take Draper with their pick, Crows take Langford, could leave FOS available at the dees’ pick 5/6. Not to mention Jagga being available at the tiges’ second pick

Surely we'll pass on that deal.

I hope we don't touch our F1, we won't get value for it and will need it next year. It looks to me like the value this year is in pick 20-35 and in trading out of this draft for F1s. I'm not sure there is anyone in the top ten that really suits us. I'd be happy to trade out of this draft for a couple of decent F1s and a couple of second rounders we could use on tall or small forwards this year. I assume the club will be thinking the exact opposite.
That's an interesting take and one I haven't seen before: trade pick 2 for two F1s? And two R2 picks this year? I think you're getting a little greedy! The first part is eminently doable, I imagine. But not with the R2 picks added, that's la-la-land.

So busy richoatthedisco , look at you with ya multiple reply posts.....still luv the tractors....they are getting closer
Flat out like a lizard drinking, old boy!

So only one of your best defenders ever?

Remind me, how did you attain his replacement again? The other young premiership defender? How did you get that Richmond Captain and 200+ gamer in the first place? Oh...

The Richmond priority pick remnants still lives on the Richmond list, he just signed a 7 year deal.
