In his imaginary world there is.

For all we know this could be the 2016 top end all over again.

1: McGrath
2: Taranto
3: Clugg
4: Ainsworth
5: Setterfield
6: SPS
7: Scrimshaw
8: Logue
9: Brodie
10: Bowes

🤮
Yep but 8 years on 80% still playing AFL

Thats why all draft picks are over rated

Is there ?
Cal has Langford at #3 Reid #5 Draper #8 and Smillie was #1 2 months ago
all we know is there is a top Tier of 6-8 and nothing more
No we don't.

Cal is just being obtuse.

He clearly doesn't care as much about foot speed and athleticism as every other footy watcher, because Langford and Reid are SLOW.

Every other talent forecast disagrees with him.

Smillie had a bad year and has found his level.

LOL you really think Richmond would sign Dow & McIntosh who we could easily drop to the Rookie list
Blair Hartley is one of the best list managers around and would not compromise losing a pick with a rookie error
What's this based on mate? I didn't even know that was your list manager's name. Not saying it's not true, but there's a few pretty shrewd operators around at clubs like Cats, Hawks, Lions, possibly Pies who I would think would be close to the podium. Or you basing this off the past couple of weeks which has ben sensational. Planets aligned pretty well there though, but you have lost a fair bit of depth on paper too.

Mate, Richmond supporters thought Matt Clarke was their list manager until the draft.

I don't believe any of them ever heard of Blair Hartley before that.

What?

It's obviously Jagga, FOS, Lalor and Draper, with Langford a smokey.

You have to be deliberately obtuse to not agree with that
Oh man. There are rankings with Draper at 7, 8 & 10. Hardly a clear top 4. They may be the first 4 picked but it's certainly not beyond question.

Yeah ok , I'll take your word over Cal Twomey

what would he know anyway

As a neutral, and taking the tidbits that have come out thru The Hun and C4, i have attempted to work this thru. Club supporters involved should not look for their desired "big win" just that the 4 clubs are happy with desired positions that improve their wants, and what is achievable.

NM:
Out: 2 & F1
In: 6, 13, 18 & 24.

Rich:
Out: 6, 10, 18 & 24
In: 2, 15 & GWS F1

GWS:
Out: 15 & GWS F1
In: NM F1

Port:
Out: 13 & 29
In: 10 and some advantageous later pick or swap this year or next from whoever is driving this deal most.

Satisfies C4's rumour
Satisfies the Hun rumour which was Pick 2 and a F1 for 6&10
Satisfies Richmonds want for Pick 2 and maximise quality for their haul.
Satisfies Norths wish to split to Pick 6 and bring their build into this year.
Satisfies GWS want for an elite pick instead of teens
Explains the Port involvement and their apparent belief that a kid with a normal Top 3 CV will be their. Reid or Lindsay come to mind.

Age apparently reported the other day that Richmond don’t want to part with 6.

Blair has been at Richmond for 10 years and over seen the list management during the dynasty
Bringing to the club players like Prestia , caddy , nank , lynch that were integral to the success whilst managing massive contracts without a hitch.
He has always managed to get great value for out going players whilst paying fair price for incoming players.
So far in 10 years - Perfect record which means no major stuff ups

Don't think trade period changed their view that Clarke was Richmond's list manager!
