Except there's a clear top four.
So to clarify. You've convinced yourself that all 18 clubs have the same top 4 and see a big gap to 5th? Really? In the draft that the pundits say has the most even top 8 or so that they've seen?

i did what?

I think you are confused
Good sir it appears all this Halloween candy has gone to my head as I momentarily mistook you for either tigs2010 or richoatthedisco, and for that I apologise.

In any case, its simply odd that the same article which various Richmond supporters think is the gospel truth when it comes to keeping pick 6 is the same article which couldn't calculate the number of list spots you had left.

Thought it was pretty balanced, for what it's worth.....but I do feel Tigers want to dominate the trade and therefore won't happen.

That's ok still for you guys if they don't wanna trade. StK offer gives you options now. You can take that and use 7 and trade GWS' choice of either yours or Saints F1 for 2 of their picks this year.

3 picks in first round this year gets you 2 of the top KPP's and a mid or general player.

StK's offer takes the heat off NM somewhat. They now have options of Tiges, Saints or keep 2.

Apologies for pointing out the error. Didn't realise it would cut that deep. ☹️

Lol - it's hilarious reading the Richmond supporters try to convince themselves pick 6 is somehow fantastic.

It's good for NM, who want Tauru. It's the sixth best mid for anyone else - mids with flaws, like Smillie and Reid.

Everyone else that's been in the mix for the top 5 are looking at FOS, Jagga, Lalor, Draper and Langford.

What's this based on mate? I didn't even know that was your list manager's name. Not saying it's not true, but there's a few pretty shrewd operators around at clubs like Cats, Hawks, Lions, possibly Pies who I would think would be close to the podium. Or you basing this off the past couple of weeks which has ben sensational. Planets aligned pretty well there though, but you have lost a fair bit of depth on paper too.
Hartley basically came in when we were shit around the early 2010s and built the list that went on to play regular finals and win multiple flags, and of course has always been pretty astute at the trade table. There were a lot of key trades and recruitments during those years that eventually built up to the flags, bringing in guys like Grigg, Houli, Townsend, Caddy, Nankervis, Lynch, Prestia through various methods that all played roles in those finals and flag runs. We also very rarely lost key players we wanted to really keep, aside from this year. And even then, there's an argument we did it because it will really accelerate our rebuild.

It's impossible to say who the "best is" but it's easily defendable to say Hartley is one of the best list managers going around.

If 6 is an option to be traded for 2

There is no need for Port or GWS to be involved in the deal

We have 8 1st round draft picks to use.

Yeah I go back and forth each day in my mind, dunno....keep pick 2, FOS could be absolutely anything....I like the certainty of the pick
Maybe 1 top 10 and an early teens is ok, end up with 2 picks......dunno. Don't like than uncertainty.
It all feels a bit stage-managed to me.....I think there's a strong possibility there's already an in-principle deal agreed to. I'm suss as to why we've opened up more list spots, so something feels like it's going/gone down.

Richmond seem to have 3 favourites, the last of which should be at 6 based on current rumours. If that changes I think Richmond would then look at moving 6 for 2.

(And to put my BF hat on, there is a clear top 2,3,4,5 6 so Saints should trade up 🤪)

Think the bolded a definite.

I'd only ever heard his name briefly. But agree with all you've put forward there, hard to argue with 3 flags.
But you would've had Reiwoldt, Dusty, Cotchin, Edwards, Grimes, Rance and more before Blair you'd think.

Well why are so many Tigers supporters confident your club won't be prepared to trade 6?
Personally I think our 3rd choice will be there at 6. North might need to start the games and threaten to take them as FOS won't get through to 6 so we'd be left with none of them.

But right now pretty confident we just hold 6.

Is it certain Richmond dont want Tauru though and will definetly go with a mid if those 5 are gone? I mean we are starting again and need everything, if we are desperate for FOS we would trade up.

Top 5 now?

In an hour it will be a top 6. 😁

Tomorrow the Crows 2nd pick will be equal its first at this rate

That could be why you are trying to hold 6 and get 2......Lalor/FOS/Jagga be some haul. All different but all compliment each other

If Tigers value a mix of FOS, Lalor or Smith more then pairing one of them with Langford or reaching on a KPP at 6 the trade makes sense to them.

I think Tigers with their hand would be disappointed to walk away with only their first choices of midfielder.
North being a willing trade partner just adds to the story.

The trade will suit both sides needs. Tigers aren’t taking 8 first round picks. We believe North want Tauru. That’s about as much as we know.

FFS. You're the kind of poster who would have ripped into Dogs for taking Bont at 4 because he wasn't in a big footy consensus top 5.

That would be Richmonds hope, all 3 of their favored mids. Thats the dream. But with Saints offer for 2 now, it makes it really, really unlikely.

Personally i don't think Tiges will miss the chance to guarantee 2 of their elite 3. To get only 1 is highly likely if their 2nd Pick is 6. They would be mad to not take Lalor and their choice of FOS or Jagga imo. What with plenty still to come after 1 & 2.

But their chance of 2, or dreamily even 3 of their elite with their current picks, pretty much disappeared with the Saints offer to North.

Of course they can keep their own picks, which is still a great hand, and prolly get Smillie at 6 and work their way through the other picks. But if i were them, i'd nail down Pick 1 and 2 and still have plenty left over to fatten their draft.

Well they should get him there. I find it very interesting that they had Jagga, Finn and Langford all play for their VFL team yet they don't seem interested in any of them.
In respect to them they did try to get him to play but couldn’t because of rules.
FOS played less games and a lot less well but is still seen as a better prospect then Smillie though. What’s that say for Smillie
