For the Dogs - Vickers-Willis at 26, McDonald at 27 and Adam Marcon in the rookie draft have probably been the biggest ones.

Yep, so unless Cal, Emma, or a key draft media specialist posts regularly on here, then any rumour that doesn't come from them is likely to be either made up or deliberately misleading.

There is a very fair chance of that, but you also need to remember that most of the rumours that are posted on here have probably come from someone having heard what a Twomey, Quayle, Anderson, etc have said.

One example of good mail I saw on here a couple of years ago was someone saying with authority that we were one of a few clubs keen on Josh Saunders- which came out of left field, as no-one was talking about him- but of course a week later we picked him up with pick 43, so it seems like they had a very good source, as no-one in the media had mentioned his name that I was aware of.

The other thing is that some of the mail that those on here get may be spot on, but if a club is interested in a few with a particular pick, they will only pick one of them, or someone that they didn't expect to be available might be, so they go with them instead, so what may look in hindsight like bad mail have been perfectly good at the time.

Richmond's first round picks seem to have been very well known or very strongly rumoured in recent years, so any strong mail on them is likely to be true, unless things have changed there.

I know he has meet with the club twice. Was down at Visy last week and meet with Rogers plus had a chat with Mick. Did some testing as well.

Can't tell how I know but my "sources" are rock solid at Carlton.

Forgot to mention Brett Anderson said on SEN last night Blues and Freo are interested in Foster. Also Mick knows his old man from when he was coaching the Dogs.

Not sure sorry but they rate it as a very even draft, not much between about 7-35 range they reckon. Have about 10 more names on their board this draft than they usually do. But I suspect that's probably the same with most teams this year anyway.

I've studied a few phantom drafts (including Quayle and Twoomey) and they are pretty spot on until about pick 8 or so, and then some bolters and sliders throw all calculations out the window. Quayle thinks this year's draft will be shaped by who GWS take with their three early picks. It will be hard for others clubs to predict who all 3 picks will be.

Cal Twomey draft whispers yesterday- reckons it's really hard to tell this year:

Collingwood: Laverde, De Goey, Langford
Pickett continues to firm to GWS at 4, especially as there is talk that Pies are interested
Ahern to GWS at 6 a strong chance
Ellis to Tigers talk persists.
Laverde might get to pick 11 if he doesn't go to Collingwood, where he hasn't been linked to much in past 6 weeks, as a lot of the picks in between seem quite settled
Duggan to Gold Coast at 8
Langford to Adelaide being talked about a bit.
Weller strongly in mix to West Coast, Ahern another one
Bulldogs continue to be linked to Webb- multiple interviews, as well as Menadue and Vickers Willis
McDonald linked to North at 25, Dogs as well
Cockatoo a mystery may get through to Essendon's picks 17 or 20
Wigg potentially Gold Coast or Carlton late 20's, V-Rainbow also a chance to Carlton at 28

Wright interviewed by GWS (and a number of other clubs) this week, which is unusual for GWS to do interviews this late.
