Having watched Lowden a couple of times on tv this year I would say he's a long long way off being anyone's future

Lowden can actually seem slow but it's more about intensity than anything else. The bloke is lightning quick when he feels like working hard.

Lowden will hopefully be the future. No need for Bellchambers or the out of favour, but always playing and playing well Goldstein. Bellcho is no better than what we already if we have to trade to get him.

Hopefully Lowden will be our future...really its come to hope? I hope Buddy kicks 12 goals in the Grand final. The fact remains that Clarko has given a rookie in his first year at our club a go and also Grimely who was on the verge of being delisted last year....not exactly a vote of confidence for Lowden by the HFC..
In saying that I also hope Lowden makes it. LOL.

Disagree on Hale though. Average ruckman and average around the grounds. When was the last time he took a one-grab mark with an opponent baring down on him?

Also as I said, Lowden has no speed as in reading the play, positioning himself, decision making with the ball, etc

I suggest you go read this week's game day thread on the BHH board and read what those who go to every game have to say about the big fella. It's all very similar with varying opinions on if he'll make it or not. Don't base your opinion on one televised game. Maybe get to a game if you live or are ever in Melbourne for a Hawks game.

Granted coming down from the sticks I don't get to many games, however I've had a bit to do with the vfl comp and had a decent enough look over the last few years of him
