Looks good to me:thumbsu: Personally not a fan of Sylvia due to his durability issues and the fact melbourne are a young team and are gonna cop some beltings at stages like on the weekend which could effect his scoring. Nothing wrong with the trade tho! If you think Sylvia is a good pick go for it........In 4 days after teams have come out:p;)

the copped more beltings last year and he averaged 108 in his last 14 games or something..
will get more midfield time as they get players back..

Used two cash cows to rookies last week so am cashed up this week and looking at trading in some good players.

Should i wait on chapman cause he has a high Break even this week?

Thinking of upgrading Bastinac for Ablett? And trading nason for a keeper in the backline. Who would be the best option?

I do not have Chapman in my team, But am considering upgrading Trengove to him, I do not yet have the cash to do so. Am Feeling confident that I can now bring In chapman into the midfield and Capitalise on the DP, by switching him with the likes of harvey/ziebell/didak and eventually upgrading ziebell to another gun. I have avoided chapman based on his injury history,. Am now more confident I can cover him. the issue is I am still $$$ short to make that upgrade.

Other options remain in upgrading Trengove to a gun like Boyd, but am now not to sure on his consistency. Judd could also be an option.

On another note, Petrie could be good value and am considering him.

How many are considering DP players more towards the end of the season?

Looking to downgrade Matt Maguire to Matthew Broadbent and upgrading Jack Trengove to Brent Stanton. Broadbent will be my main back up defender and may start over Hargrave over time if he continues his up and down form. So just wondering what his job security is like? Also what position did he play for port on the weekend? Was he in the back line or playing in the midfield. Thanks in advance guys

He could very well be worth it imo. If you have the cover, man he's a huge asset to have in any side. I still have Ziebell to upgrade, so something to consider.

i can only upgrade to one of Ablett / Chapman.

I'll take GAB.

It's a real shame Barry can't kick five every game...would be alright to upgrade him to Chappy :)

Still have Gray, and am looking for him to be DG for NOK. Also with Armitage on my bench im either guna upgrade him, or DG him to gysberts?

When upgrading armitage, i can go all out to get GAJ (some spare $) or hold back and pick up the under-priced Stanton, and UG Bally in my FWDs (around $390).
Thoughts?

Hey,
Well my team is as follows, and im just wanting some advice on my next moves.

Goddard, Hodge, Carraz, Enright, H.Shaw, Malceski, Waters (M.Maguire, Webberley)

Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Boyd, Barlow, Howlett (Martin, Banner)

Sandi, Kreuzer (Warnock, Skipper))

Chappy, Brown, Pav, Podsiadly, ROK, Gia, Rockliff (Hitchcock, Jaensch)

Ok so im sittin ranked at about 2,900 right now, with 11 trades left, and $35k in the bank.

My next two moves, i want to:
Maguire -> c.Heath
D.Martin -> Montagna / Hayes

then in a few weeks i possibly want to go something like:
Howlett-> Rookie
Rockliff -> Daisy/Goodes

Any thoughts on my team, trades or any other suggestions?
Thanks is advance

Go for it if you got the money, unless he can drop to around 400K (420K at the most) I won't be able to get him

Id be pritty suprised if he dropped that far.
I dont think his a bad option if you have the money. There really arnt many forwards this year who are consistantly pulling good scores, he is almost the only one so if you have the money to get him i would imo. However I would be setting a side one of your LTI trades for him incase his hammys do go (touch wood they dont).

They may later in the year, but in all honestly he's the best forward by a mile.
To get him though would mean my backline (last) upgrade will need to be small.
Then set aside 5 trades for LTIS.
It just seems alot more convenient to grab Sylvia or Brown from Ziebell.

Which of these two are you eyeing off out of interest?

Sylvia wasn't even tagged by Ling and still couldn't get a touch last week. In fact his 3 scores have been against Richmond, Brisbane (MCG) & Port so he's far from proved himself.

Then there's Brown who is going to be on a modified program until the finals thanks to that, according to Voss, non issue of a groin.

I think Sylvia could prove to be a good pickup, and to a lesser degree Brown.
I don't see Brown churning out the 130s he did earlier in the year, but he may average a solid 85 from here on in? Sylvia could go even further, but his lower scores worry me.
Thus why I want the ultra premium. At the same time though, I've taken that approach in my mids, meaning I should be looking for value up forward to make more use of my trades. I do plan to also go Maguire >Grimes/Gilbert etc if need be later in the year.

Sylvia played at the cattery, very few players do well against geelong there

My team atm:

Hodge, Goddard, Grimes, Carazzo, Fisher, Waters, Maguire (Hams, Webberley)
Ablett, Bartel, Swan, Montagna, Gibbs, Barlow (Shuey, Banner)
Cox, Kreuzer (Warnock, Lobbe)
Gia, Goodes, Franklin, Brown, Pods, Gray, Ziebell (N O'keefe, Fyfe)

11 trades, 77k in the bank

thinking of going hams -> heath this week, freeing up about 70k more. then should i go:

maguire -> kelly
or
ziebell -> pavlich

kelly has a high breakeven but he'd finish off my backline, pav would boost my forward line alot and if gray misses out fyfe is good cover.

which trade you reckon would be better?

anyone eyeing off Petrie for a fwd line upgrade? Played his first game on the wkend and scored 72, his average last year was 87, he will probably drop in value after a few games. Current value $381k but may drop to $340-350k as he eases his way back in.

For those with Lobbe sitting on the ruck bench it could pay to get him in to cover players like Sandilands/Cox/Hille who i'd be surprised to see play every game this year.

Sylvia also has a relatively easy last month! For those out for a league win, he could rack up big scores in finals!

HALP!

I'm downgrading Naitinui -> Lobbe this week and putting J Trengove on the ground. My thinking is that if Trengove doesn't play, Lobbe will.

Then I have the option of upgrading a) Franklin to Chapman, or b) Hitchcock to Sylvia / Brown.

a) Chapman, Pavlich, ROK, SJ, Dids, Rioli, Pods (Hitchcock / Hughes)
b) Pavlich, ROK, SJ, Dids, Pods, Sylvia / Brown (Rioli / Hughes)

i'm not at all sold on Sylvia, wait another week on him and see how he goes against the blues
