What to do ... I have 8 trades left and $100k. Don't really need to trade but don't see the point in having trades left at the end of the season. Going for a league win and am on top at the moment.

Backs; Hodge, Goddard, Enright, Gilbert, Hargrave, Shaw, Waters (Strijk, Webberley)
Midfield; Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Selwood, Gibbs, Pendlebury (Martin, McNeil)
Rucks; Sandilands, McIntosh, (Trengove, Warnock)
Forwards; Franklin, O'Keefe, Goodes, Pavlich, Giansiracusa, Podsiadly, Ballantyne (Gumbleton, Hitchcock)

I will be trading out Ballantyne to Riewoldt but I'd be better of waiting a couple of weeks.

Any ideas for now?

If you are already dealing with Ballantyne later then maybe fwd bench which is a bit weak (but so is everyone's) or maybe waters to premium.

That's a pretty good team considering you have 8 trades left. I'd probably spend the 100k now on Waters to someone. Or if you reckon Heater's gonna miss more than just this week (i don't), you could ditch him instead. Waters - Duffield/Scotland? Guessing you can't quite afford Lake.

I wanna do one trade this week, and have ~165k to spend. Either Waters/Shaw to Lake, or Betts to Chappy/Didak. I'm leaning towards Betts to Chappy atm, basically cos that's the biggest ppg difference, going on averages... but i'm not sure. Betts seems like less of a problem than Waters or Shaw.

My forward bench is Pods and Fyfe so is quite strong :D

Anyway, that's a damn fine team considering you have 8 trades left. Would be a great team with only 2 aswell.

Just traded Shaw to Smith and Martin to Swan! Smith will only average around 15 to 20 points less than Shaw if that wheres Swan will have a good 50-60 point increase on Martin, add captaincy and you double it.

If only I could make Monty, Swan and Boyd all captain at the same time :)

Go Betts to Chappy I reckon.

Waters is an interesting one. I thought he was basically considered a premium backman after his performances this year.

Yeah he's been really good for most of the year. But the last couple of weeks he seems to be being given more defensive roles, and his scores have been down as a consequence. So if his role has changed, there's a concern his scores'll stay down. But ye i reckon i'll keep him, and just hope that he goes back to playing pretty loose off half back like he was before.

I wouldn't have thought his productivity was dropping tons. He has got 3 scores below 80 the last three weeks, but against Adelaide he was on 72 at half time, scored 7 in a couple of minutes, then didn't play again. He was on track for a big hundred in that game.

In looking at his scores for the year, I'd say he's very inconsistent, and that's just been more obvious in the past month.

Hey Guys,

I have 5 trades left and $108,000 in the bank.

Team is as follows:

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Shaw, Fisher, Gilbert, Waters (Emerg: Webberley & Davis)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Montagna, Bartel, Selwood, Gibbs (Emerg: Gysberts & McNeil)

Rucks: Sandilands, Cox (Emerg: Warnock & Lobbe)

Fwds: Pavlich, ROK, Didak, Buddy, Pods, Brown, Gia (Emerg: Rockliff & Watts).

My question is who do I trade (if anyone) out of my forwards.

I was thinking, Rockliff --> Chapman (then bench Brown).

Or maybe Rockliff --> Goodes

Or Brown --> Goodes?

What are people's thoughts as I think Goodes is playing more in the midfield and would be a good buy, however not having Chapman is killing me. The only worry is his hammy's obviously.

I am in the top 400 so I want to come maybe top 200 if possible.

Cheers.

I reckon Rockliff is a keeper and generally I would be starting him ahead of Brown and Pods (except this week start Pods because it's SS against a weak team). I'd be trading Brown or even Gia, who is terribly inconsistent, before Rockliff.
I'd also be thinking about upgrading Waters, he seems to have gone off the boil lately.

As for Goodes v Chappy, if you have the cash I'd go Chappy. The more I think about it, the less I reckon he'll be rested.

Hey guys
This is my team, and I have 4 trades and 80k available:

Hodge, Duffield, Goddard, Gilbert, Enright, Malceski, Harbrow (Hams, Webberley)

Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Gibbs, Goodes, Mitchell (Rohan, Shuey)

Sandliands, Jolly (Warnock, Bass)

O’Keefe, Didak, SJ, Buddy, Kennedy, Rockliff, Yarran (Hitchcok, Watts)

Should I do:

a) Yarran to McNeil, swap McNeil into mids with Goodes going to forward line, then upgrade Rohan to a premium mid (keeping in mind though that Rohan is on the extended bench).

b) Webberley/Hams to Smith, Yarran to Thomas/Harvey (would like Chappy but don’t quite have the cash)

c) Be cautious and wait and see (and maybe get Chappy later)?

I do want to make the most of getting Smith whilst he’s still at his price, but maybe the McNeil trick in (a) ) is a better move as I could get a better player in than Thomas/Harvey?
Thoughts?

Hey guys this is my team

Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Duffield, Gilbert, Mackie, Waters (Hams, Webberley)
Ablett, Swan, Montagna, J Selwood, Boyd, Gibbs (Shuey, Gysberts)
Sandilands, Ryder (Warnock, Macnamara)
Chapman, Gia, Higgins, ROK, Goodes, Didak, Pods (Rockliff, Playfair)

I'm well and truly still a chance for the car. Have 23k in the bank.

My main concerns in the run home is my mid bench (no back up for a late withdrawal) and I'm a little unsure about Waters. I have 4 trades left. Options are

1) Do nothing - this is what I will most likely do. Give Waters one more week. The only player I can't afford who I don't already have is Lake. I'm not convinved just yet that any of those players area a major upgrade on Waters. Scotland is probably the obvious choice.

2) Shuey to McNeill which would allow me some mid cover cause I would be very happy to play Rocky in the forward line. Problem is this doesn't protect you against a last minute withdrawal.

3) Waters to anyone I don't have but Lake. Scotland probably the best choice there.

4) Sure up the mid bench with someone playing but who is cheap like JAy Van Berlo who can sub in for a late withdrawal.

Any thoughts. Thanks

Option 1. As someone said above, Waters is a little inconsistent, but that 79 the other week was on track for 100+. Plus with Scotland you would have to be worried that he could get dropped at some stage.

Having said that, you are obviously doing something right with that team and your ranking, so go with your gut.

Thanks - my gut all week has said to sit tight and do nothing but you always think about last minute options and how to get an edge to push up the rankings.

Have enough money for Judd, Selwood, Hayes or Pendlebury.

Thoughts? Pendlebury against Richmond?

Personally I think Hayes will score more overall. Huge run home for him.

With benches of Cunnington/McNeil & Hitchcock/Roberts is it worth spending a trade (8 remaining) to upgrade Hitchcock to Davis?

Hey gents. This is a quicky. I have $44k left with one trade. All i'm trying to do is make the finals. I want to trade out Grimes and was thinking Scotland would be a good choice. Until someone said on here his JS isn't that good. What does everyone else think? While his numbers aren't scorching he's played well the last 3 weeks...

I think it's overplayed a bit. Overall he's had a good season. Sure he hasn't been as effective recently, but he's had a lot of mates in that department. He's part of our best 22, and I doubt he'll be dropped. No guarantees of course.

Am currently sitting 3000 and been climbing since round 10ish I have Shaw out this week and have Webberley as cover. My side is as follows

DEF: Hodge, Goddard, Gilbert, Enright, Malceski, Gilbee & Shaw (Webberley/Strijk)

MID: Swan, Monty, Bartel, Ablett, Pendles & Gibbs (Blair/Gysberts)

RUC: Sandi & Cox (Trengove/$83k)

FWD: ROK, Goodes, Didak, Higgins, Franklin, Rocky & Brown (Hitchcock/Playfair)

With 4 trades & $150,000 I am considering trading out Shaw ave 80 to Duffield/Goodwin ave 95/105 over the last 5 rounds. With the fact that Webberley would only cost 50 (-30) I could upgrade him gaining me +40 at least on this week and (hopefully) enjoy an extra 10-20 ppg over Shaw for the rest of the year. Thoughts?

Ratten praised him on the Couch last week so I'd be confident in him playing all remaining games. Especially if that muppet Carrazzo keeps getting games.

Ah good stuff. The way i figure it, if he gives me two games i'll be happy. He's the best that i can afford by the looks.

Any chance you have enough to go Yarran to Pavlich? If not I'd take a punt and just go Yarran to Higgins.

I'd be loathe to suggest going down to two just to get a better upgrade player for Yarran on the basis a single zero is likely to outweigh any gain in points gained by getting a player better than Higgins.

Hey guys

Just wanted some advice on where to next with my side, Im thinking Zeibell to TDL but not 100% sure if he is in, but then again its no big deal as Zeibell is injured anyway
