Hey guys, just wondering who controls the Facebook trades page? Found it interesting Dusty was reportedly sighted having lunch with eagles staff. Brushed it off as a silly rumor but now with this current news could it be true? Also why all this talk about Martins bad off field behavior? Call me ignorant but has he actually been caught doing anything illegal, or is it all heresy? Cheers

I agree with this, in fact its exactly what i proposed the trade thread a few days ago (and got told it was too much). Like I said there, Im far from an expert in these things, but that def seems a reasonable trade to me.

Don't want Martin. Yes, he's a great player and yes, I think we shouldn't be so reluctant to recruit 'troubled' players (I'd draft Garlett for instance) but this is a guy who's already on his last chance with a club that'd be desperate to keep him and would hate to lose their #3 pick over behavioural issues. This has the potential to backfire as badly as the Andrew Lovett trade did for St Kilda. I'm not saying he'll be accused of rape, but however it blows up people will look back and wonder why we went after a guy who everyone knew was bad news.

Anyone who doesn't back Newman to stay in the team next year should be against a high-cost trade for Martin, by the sound of it.

After all the injuries this year, I don't know if it's just talent that we need, but rather having a consistent team who can show up every week and be trusted not to risk their health or fitness, or risk getting suspended (for on-field or off-field activities).
