Knights should have played another year to get there.
I was glad Campbell didn't after Knighter was dumped as captain just to make Campbell captain to keep him happy.
Personally always felt Campbell was a bit overrated as a player.
I used to tell people in the crowd campbell was crap but hardly anyone wanted to hear it

Campbell's kicks - 40 metres high and 15 metres long. Only Richmond footballer I couldn't stand.
he did that 5 times a game out of the centre without looking where he was kicking

I love Leigh Matthews coming out and saying that Dusty's Norm Smith's where just 3 good games...

He will have lit a fire that will only be quenched by another premiership
arrogant fat piece of shite that loves himself so much

So what's the deal with buying tickets for folks that aren't members? Most people are predicting we'll get a crowd of somewhere between 70 - 85k. Even though the MCG holds 100k people, Ticketek says there's no tickets available. So what happens with the other 15 to 30 thousand seats..? They're not for sale to the non-member plebs of the public? I'm not from Melbourne, so please excuse my ignorance. I don't understand how it works...

Just reading these are the players (and games played) still playing from Martin's draft year...

Rohan 197
Melksham 221
Fyfe 230
Duncan 285
Gunston 251
Sam Reid 181
Taylor Duryea 203
Gawn 216

So great value there in just his durability.

Of course any talk of the 2009 draft is not worth having unless we mention Tom Scully (187) and Jack Trengove (89). Thanks Dees.

Casboult's another survivor.

team would beat the current carlton or colonwood by 10 goals

shows how week the comp is in the stand rule era
I agree, 2024 might be the weakest we have ever seen IMO. Its why I don't think we will be down for long, the gap from best to worst has never been closer.

That's what keeps the ageing scatters in constant contention...the AFL pool is getting shallower and shallower...
Soon be able to win the Comp with the worst side from the old VFL...Fitzroy!

Funny thing is, I reckon every fan hates the stand rule, but the AFL has no ****s to give. Surely they can change it back now that we arent in our dynasty

Does anyone know if I can take a 3 year old for free if it’s fully ticketed game?

As long as they don’t occupy a seat.

“Junior Policy – Public Reserve

• Children aged 6-14 as at 1 January 2024 are eligible to purchase a junior ticket.
Children aged 5 and under as at 1 January 2024 are entitled to enter the ground at no charge;
however they must not occupy a seat.”

Edit: That’s from the Ticketek page for this event, it doesn’t say anything about a fully ticketed game being any different rule.

theyll wait till the fans leave to change it

theyve already stating fudging crowd numbers by counting no show sold tickets

participation in junior footy is at record lows compared to other sports

nothing to see here
