Why wouldn't we have cap space ??
I can let you in on a little secret .....with Rioli pulling up stumps and Vickery off the book now we have over 1.8m ...don't ask who I know , I just do . And it's why we are making a move .

FMD. How much were the Hawks paying Vickery? Are you talking about Tyrone Vickery?

That is where you delusional hawks fans have it wrong, if he wanted success he would stay at GWS to try win the flag not move to a team with 7 players over 30 in it.
They cant afford him or he would have stayed but then they would lose more younger mids who arent going to get a game
He is being pushed by salary cap pressure and pulled by home and either success or money
We will find out which pull is stronger

Sadly $500 a yr ,had to to trigger a compo suitable to Tigers not to match .....what a cluster **** that ended up .

Our reports have been consistent for months now and never once have the hawks rated a mention as a potential home, its been us or gws with the saints popping their heads up due to the value of the contract they put in front of him.
Again , our intal is incorrect , but freedom of speech and all that ...what ever you believe to be the truth .

They already have him contracted for next year, of course they can afford him.

If he wanted cash he would go to st kilda, his reasons for joining Carlton would be Judd and his family.

I can assure you Shiel will nominate Hawthorn, and the same as you blokes with Stringer/Saad and Smith last season, if Wingard nominates Hawthorn a deal will get done. We all know that it lies with the players and who they preference, as far as Wingard though I’ve got no idea but Shiel may as well be in the Hawthorn polo.

The only thing we have on Wingard is his social media activity, liking Hawthorn related posts. Drawing a long bow I know, but not much has come out of the Wingard camp.

Settlefield to Essendon.
More Hawthorn arrogance lmao

So you were paying Rioli ~1.3M?
No , but there has been building long before that , it's why Mitch , Hodgey and and Lewis were let go , to help front end load Titchs and JOMs contract . People forget too JOR who was again a error was delisted this week , he did not come as cheap as some think both cap and what we gave up for him .

These same people told us MM was done months ago, you will forgive me if I put a little more stock in what they have to say then yourself.

Why do you think he went and met with you, saints & essendon well before he come to see carlton?

Mate. I’ve got multiple industry sources that say we’re balls deep here. We may not land him due to Wingard or other reasons, but stop your ferken chest beating.

Lets wait for the fire sale and we will get back to whether they have salary cap pressure or not
Not much less money being offered by the Blues than the Saints
Agree Judd will be telling him that lots of money for you is better than team success.

and the young mids not getting a game at GWS if he stays will leave and theres more mids to come in with the picks they get from him...

Rinse and repeat
GWS will be on the salary cap edge, constantly getting rid of homesick mids for high picks and more younger versions.
Its their model for future success eventually it will work

There is a big difference to Essendon last year and Hawks this year. The dogs wanted to get rid of Stringer and Essendon were the only club that was interested therefore Bombers has power. Gold Coast were willing to trade Saad because of his drive to get home to be with family. And Devon Smith was uncontracted. All these player were worth an early second.

Compare that to Shiel and Wingard. Both are contracted for next year, port and GWS will only trade them if they are getting more for them then they will get for free agency next year.

There is no way that Hawks will get both of those players. Saying you will is just being delusional. As there aren’t many players of value that Hawks would trade I can’t see them getting anything of value to get the deals done.

Sorry pal.. if players nominate clubs it’s happening, give me some recent examples it hasn’t happened?

You don't get it but that is okay

People saying hawks won't have enough to trade with said that about the Jom deal.
Teams help each other out.

Pick 14 to carlton for there 2 2nd round picks.

Then pony up a pick swap with bombers for pick 8.long bow yes.

Pick 8 an ceglar to gws an a 2019 2nd round pick.

Leaves hawks a 1st next year for Chad or move a handy player on to be on traded
Why on earth would we swap pick 8 for 2 second rounders?

Gibbs. Carlton wasn't happy with Adelaide's offer so kept him.
Cam McCarthy is another one. Went to the length of sitting out a whole year.

Uncontracted players usually end up at their desired club. Clubs have more control over contracted players.

If GWS are not happy with Hawthorn's offer, they'll either keep him or wait until Hawthorn come up with something that they are satisfied with.
