Dyson Heppell - The Best

Heppell cost his side two goals early from what I saw of the first quarter.

Loose checking from him allowed Beams to take an uncontested mark in the forward 50 which is unforgiveable, then a panicked kick on his left which was mopped up by a swarm of Magpies for another.

Capable of doing some good things, but I think a few people need to see acknowledge how he can get burnt the other way.

Good prospect though.
I think the occasion may have gotten to him a bit early. He put his head down after that, though, and played a cracker.

playing extremely well for a first year player, but he seems to be getting some cheap half back kicks. Seems solid but no real standout elite qualities. How he got votes in tha anzac medal is laughable and media fawning at it's best. Jeepers what does cloke have to do?

I thought Cloke was really well held for 3 quarters, probably won the game for them in the last quarter though.

Turning up to play in the final quarter doesn't warrant any votes, sorry. Where was he the previous three?

Play four quarters of footy?

good post - playing off a half back flank where you have numbers in your favour always makes winning the ball a lot easier.

but the lad took some courageous marks and put his body on the line when needed

heppell would be the most consistent performer of the '10 draftees at this stage - but he is playing in the easiest position

He is playing in an "easier" position but it is no less important. He is pretty much our go to man coming out of defence, pretty impressive to command such a position from his teammates and coaching staff for a first year player.

He is also being played that position as he has an under developed body to play in the centre, compare him to a Heath Hocking or a Jobe Watson in body size and you will appreciate that he is a few years off from having the body to play in the midfield full time.

Another youngster, like Hurley, that is being completely overrated by Essendon supporters. He directly contributed to 3 Collingwood goals excluding this.

What a pathetic post.

Every single one of his posts is.

Another youngster, like Hurley, that is being completely overrated by Essendon supporters.

A Hawthorn supporter started this thread and most people on this thread who have been talking him up have been supporters of other teams. So it's not just us overrating him if that is the case.

Now run along and play on the freeway.

I didn't realise the Anzac medal panel consisted entirely of Essendon supporters.

**** you're a muppet

Ever since Mark McGough was awarded the Medal in 02', there will always be one youngster that is favoured in this counting. Dale Thomas came 3rd in the voting in 06' & he wasn't anywhere near the best players on the ground.

He was defensively weak yesterday. He did nothing but cherry pick off the HB line & when directly exposed to some pressure near goals, he wilted. Just like Hurley, the proclaimed messiah, an overrated youngster at Windy Hill.

GOD! Are you intentionally the worst poster on bigfooty, if so well done!

dont get me wrong Polec can play but if people are going to be fair dinkum - Heppell is better...

richmond should be kicking themselves to...

They are 5 games into what will be long careers unless in injuries occur, saying we should be kicking ourselves when Conca has been very good so far is just a stupid comment, Conca compliments Cotchin and Martin beautifully and is smart and composed with ball in hand.
Heppell looks great so far but I reckon we needed a Conca type more then a Heppell type.

didn't see the whole game? in the 1st 3 quarters cloke was in fact busy gathering 10 touches and 7 marks, laying 4 tackles and driving it inside 50 no less than 6 times. his 8 inside 50's for the game was the most for any player on the ground. the last quarter goals simply topped off another excellent display by cloke against the bombers, a team he has owned since his debut in 2005

Yep afterall an 18 year old who has played 5 games is expected to put in Chris Judd like performances consistently

Hurley is nowhere near his prime, if talent is anything to go by then the 'overrating' by Essendon supporters is justified. He has played just above 30 games ffs

Most Collingwood supporters on Bigfooty are very good posters, it's a shame that they have people like you posting stupid things

Uh sorry, but for the first three quarters Cloke was unsighted. Apart from taking the odd mark up on the wing he had done nothing, he only got into the game when he finished Essendon off with the three goals.

Wouldn't have mattered if Cloke got any votes or not, Pendlebury was on another planet yesterday and completely dominated

or it could be that you're a somewhat deformed forklift driver with an erroneous and risible sense of entitlement, and a blinding bias for anything non-Collingwood?
