Eagles to debut a toothpick

The question is. Can a man this skinny make any impact at AFL level?

The new kitten ran into my legs this morning - that was a big impact.

Por kid - he'll do it tough for a couple of seasons - the Scarborough Hotel used to have a Tuesdays 'All you can Eat Buffet' - if that's still going, I think his next pre-season plan is pretty well set.

That is a pre-season photo and you would guess that his weight statistics would have been measured pre-season and not updated since as well...

On that I watched his WAFL game the other week and he still looks pretty skinny. Good luck to him

Hes a FF. skill has little to do with it. Its all about strength and speed. Notte is more of a Michael O Loughlin as opposed to anything else. I fear for his safety. I really do. Hes barely even ready for WAFL footy never mind AFL.

Get out the violins people! Have you heard of a little guy named Alwyn Davey? 163cm/ 68kg whippet who gets smashed every single week he plays. Fancy fearing for an AFL footballers safety. :D:thumbsu:

In three years, with good conditioning coaches, he'll probably be 196cm and 99kgs. Then he'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Where did you get the 163cm thing from?

That's 5'4", Tony Liberatore height.
No way is Davey that small.

The Essendon site lists him as 171cm.
Small, but not nearly as small as you suggest.

Yes, he was drafted at pick 20, which was one of the two picks we received in the Judas trade.

I'm not a fan of blooding young players who are physically not ready for AFL football. I'd prefer Notte not play in 2008, but if he is going to be given a run it makes sense for it to happen this week in a game that means nothing against a team with a fairly inexperienced backline.

Sorry i meant to type 168cm.

If you ever get the chance to stand next to him you will be amazed at how small he is for an AFL footballer.

Toothpick is a tad harsh Embers.

The Human Spear is much more dramatic:D

He'll be fine, play him in a pocket / flank, the Dees will play a similar age skinny kid on him and after the game we can all link arms and sing Kum bi ar and have a group hug!!

Look at players like Brad Dick and Callan Ward.

They are fine :)
