Saints beat glenroy today... So long as west coburg beat keilor park saints have made the finals

Pacco pounded airport west, west coburg easily beat keilor park. Keilor park are out, saints fifth and airport west sixth. So pacco v west coburg, saints v east keilor and tulla v airport west next week.

Incorrect. I think 1989 or 1990 for the nth coburg side, more recently for the fawner side, definitely the first unde the new entity. Great reward for a lot of hard working people down there.

Never really looked like losing yesterday. Very good performance.

I'd add that, this is just the begining and the same could be said for EK too who've made finals after being virtually consigned to the scrap heap. It'll count for nought if they don't back it up next year and remain in the upper grades.

They also beat Keilor Park. In the end they needed some results to go their way, but they've certainly been a lot better than the easy draw brigade have made them out to be.

Again though, blame the EDFL not the clubs. The draw was done before the change in policy.

I think he meant in regards to c grade coming in half through next year.... We didn't design the fixture.... We did best keilor park and a fair side called pascoe vale....
Should be a cracker against east keilor, we have had to very close games this year and this should be even better.

SUNBURY Lions Junior Football Club will meet this week to discuss its intentions to join the Essendon District Football League next season in a process that could reshape three leagues.
Sunbury Lions senior administration distanced itself from a move to join the EDFL at the weekend, but the club’s affiliate juniors are on the record saying they will apply to leave the Riddell District Football League and join the Essendon league from next season.

On 2 occasions in the PV v Apw game on sat. the umps threw the ball up in the middle of an all in brawl, both times PV had posession once from a kick out and the other from a mark and a 50 mtr penalty which would have put them on the goal line .I get they were trying to stop the blew,but dosen't this mean the team without the ball can start a blew at any time to stop a certain goal?I thought the team with posession should keep it once things settled down.
Be interested to hear from an umpire if reading this.Surely the umps got this wrong.

Some grounds are just not suitable for finals... Edfl needs finals grounds to have fences so they can charge us admission... so there are only so many grounds that the league can use to hold senior finals

There are things like temporary fences or spectators could just be honest enough to pay! (silly thought I know!)
They edfl get the gate takings anyway not the hosting club, so does it really matter for 1 game?

glenroy Used to get used for finals as did keilor ...they Also host junior finals every year.

yes Windy Hill sounds like a very calm finals venue for the major teams
