EDFL new CEO having a baptism of fire - 4 days out from season and after sitting on the Keilor Park demise for the past 2-3 weeks the League now to do a redraw for Second Division- each team to play each other 3 times - will play over the Queens Birthday weekend and extend the season by 2 more weeks - hopefully not too many have already planned their holidays

Well it would be a disadvantage to some teams because some teams get 3 byes to 2 byes which could be the different come finals time.
3 byes - 12 points
2 byes - 8 points
This way all teams get even byes.
More games how will that affect the salary cap? What if some teams are paying the full cap, now have 2 more games they have to pay their players in.

To be fair I think c grade edfl might be a bit stronger than other C grade comps

Oh... Thats not like EDFL to think they are better than everyone else... haha

Id say EFL are ahead of NFNL & EDFL... Top 4 teams in each comp are evenly balanced, EDFL & NFNL are very closely matched across all grades.

If that's the case why not offer greenvale 3rds a chance to put their thirds who where undefeated last season in the thirds to complete in div 2 from all reports they would hold their own against all teams in this div

Good thought local. However don’t think this will ever happen as if a thirds side was able to beat a Div2 clubs senior side it would be embrassing for the club and league. Plus also think the league has a requirement for all senior sides to field a reserves side, otherwise the reserves will have a bye..

Final Ladder Prediction:

1 - Coburg - Have retained most of there players and only added more depth. Surely have to take the flag this year
2 - ES - Have recruited heavily and not lost any young guns. Big improvers of 2018
3 - NS - Lost a few but brought back a heap of older clubmen. Will be strong around the ball and will be there at the pointy end of the season
4 - Roxy - Expecting a big improvement from last season. Having Cappa back is a major coup. Not expecting too much from the older recruits.
5 - MV - Think that they've plateaued the last few years. Hearing a few haven't come back?
6 - Hadfield - It might be a long season for Hadfield although they have brought back some talented footballers.
7 - BH - Unfortunately, whilst the club has improved immensely, I think the comp has also improved. Could be a flip of the coin between Burnside and Hadfield.

Without KP, it looks to be a very even comp this year.
