Airport West to beat West Coburg by 21pts
Taylors Lakes to beat Hillside by 50pts
Tulla to beat Westy by 10pts
Keilor Park to beat Roxi by 3pts
Glenroy to beat Jacana by 300pts if it dosnt rain, and by 230 if it does :)

Taylors Lakes have appealed the 4 weeks. Tulla should appeal, should have got 8:thumbsdown:. And what is going on with this whole Kouta circus, what if he goes to a 3rd B grade club or even a 4th. Where does it end. Players should not be able to swap teams within the same division mid season. ps i read somewhere that someone said the 2 boys from Haddy will be a good pick up???? please in the 2s maybe. Aint no way guys from Haddy will get a kick probably not even a game in Premier division.

Its good for the clubs $$$,crowds, the league and for the young blokes running around... Cameo appearances are apparently becoming the norm!!:thumbsu:

How did Manton get to play?.. Because of the appeal?
How did he go today?
How did Koutafides go?

Gee it's going to be tight for the last couple of places in that bottom 6. I reckon 5 have almost been confirmed, but just who will join them is anyone's guess.

Yer but what a yawn fest c grade will be.....the siren would be the only thing keeping the crowd awake

Nonsensical comment, surely the struggling clubs playing off against one another is hell of a lot better to watch than games like yesterday between Jacana and Glenroy. Look at the Keilor Park vs Roxburgh Park game for example, which was an evenly fought contest as opposed to an avalanche of goals.

For the bottom 5 clubs perhaps... what about the 6th club that unfortunately joins them?

Big risk that 1 club will suffer as the better players get poached by the surviving B grade clubs.

Going to be a dog fight to stay in B Grade - clubs will need all the percentage they can just in case.

After round 5

Barnibus Stinson....5 26
Snax...................6 26
Bomber blitz..........5 26
Auckmel...............5 26
Bazzinger punk......4 25
Local footy scores 6 25
Old burra..............4 24

Its a very tough round to tip..... still not too sure on a few Barney :)

If not for an upset, you wouldve had 7.

Tipping is elementary, my routine is simple.

1. Put on a suit
2. Head to McLarens (not sure what your local bar is)
3. Get a glass of the finest scotch
4. Study fixture and select
5. Pick up nearest bimbo

That routine you will find, is le . . le . . leg . . legendary

You left out a few Barnesy...

6.Complete business transaction
7.Cuban Cigar & a Cognac!!

:footy: With only 8 rounds left before the introduction of Division 2, its going to be a hard fought contest between the top 8-10 teams, % will play a massive part imho..

You could say that the top 3 teams atm, Glenroy, Airport West & West Coburg would be safe as houses.. but EK ,Tulla ,NS & Taylors Lakes all look the goods, but seems they all havent played there best footy yet....

Westmeadows & Hadfield i think will finish season off well also & will be fighting for a position in Div 1...

Very interesting year of footy

Westmeadows have had a tough draw to start the season. Still to play the clubs expected to make up the bottom 5 (starting this week). East Keilor have had an easy start to the season so will be interesting to see where they are at in the weeks to come.

It is sure to be an interesting season. Hopefully Westmeadows stay up!! :thumbsu:

Glenroy have played the bottom teams except for R1 Airport West (Loss by 10 goals) >
Roxy > EK > K/Park > Jacana They are at present on form, a side that may finish 5th>8th No way top 2 OR 3

Hadfield haven't had the easiest draw yet either, playing tulla then westy, then a shocking loss to hillside then apw. They don't really get a massive break like the other teams as everytime they play a bottom 5side the next week they play a top side. This week they face ek which seem to be up their then they play keilor park then a massive one with Glenroy. Don't get a good run on like some other clubs. Be interesting to see how they go at the end of the season with the last 2 rounds being Taylors lakes then west Coburg. Advantage Hadfield have I believe is that they play almost all the big games at home in ek, Glenroy, northern saints and west Coburg. I think everyone agrees when you play Hadfield at home it's a completely different ball game as they always get massive crowds supporting the young blokes and getting behind them plays a massive factor and they always lift at home

Hadfield would have to be considerably better at home if they are looking to beat those top sides, compared to last weekend at MV, despite a few really solid players they did not look like a side who would be challenging the big boys...

They are a different side at home.

I'd be confident that Westmeadows would've beaten Hadfield had the game been played at Westmeadows. That being said - every team should be looking to make life difficult for visitors when playing at home. It is equally as arguable that Westy would not have beaten Tulla had the game been played down the road.

Next few weeks will reveal a lot about who are the contenters for B grade this year and who will be in the battle to avoid relegation.

As per usual EDFL too weak to react tribunal, really gets annoy how we always get the rough end of the stick...

Corouzou. D (Airport West) - Seniors - Striking - Guilty - Reprimand
Gloury. J (West Coburg) - Seniors - Striking - Guilty - 2 Matches

Exact same incident however WC player gets two weeks, with no prior record and only his second season in the seniors. While the APW is a known niggler. When is the EDFL's "independent" tribunal going to get it right, this is now beyond a joke...
