Was talking to a few people from coburg districts recently... They were adamant they will be playing in the edfl next year


Is being reported on the NFL board that thomastown want to come over to the edfl also... Doubt it's true though

Thanks cranberry, if East Sunbury form seniors plus Coburg Districts move across im guessing they would go straight into Div2 so that would make 8 teams in Div2. If Thomastown came across or any other clubs i wonder would they add more to Div1 or Div2 ..

Hillside are still a mathematical chance to get in at Glenroys expense. Glenroy has Tulla, Hillside and Westmeadows and Hillside has East Keilor, Glenroy and Keilor Park. Hillside would have to beat Glenroy in two weeks, as well as win all the other games, because they cannot make up the percentage.Will be a big game that one....

I think Hillside will struggle to beat East Keilor, although it would be great for them to do so as it would make the clash v Glenroy mouthwatering (assuming Glenroy lose to Tulla). A lot of things need to Hillside's way and I just can't see Glenroy losing the last 5 on the trot.

At the moment Div1 will have 8 clubs

then Div2 with 6 current EDFL clubs..

if more than 2 clubs are introduced, it will be interesting to see how clubs will be placed or graded?

Any thoughts?

1. St Albans would be an awesome - even legendary addition to EDFL. Strong clubs, depth in juniors, however i think they would want to come in at a higher level then Div 2 (3rd tier)
2. Thomastown is wrong for lots of reasons. They are pretty feral around there, and to far North for EDFL.
3. Coburg districts makes sense, but have no juniors.
4. At all costs a bye should be avoided at all costs
5. Im still awesome

also wouldn`t the league have to make the clubs it has now dont fold before they bring more in.....St Albans have a pretty good set up better than some bigger clubs in edfl

Round 11

East Keilor v Hillside - this will be a very interesting game to watch, it could well be the Div 2 Grand Final..
Hillside are a young team that play a good style of football & will only get better.. On the other hand East Keilor have had a year that i think they would wish to forget, losing crucial games, Coach leaving mid season, playing finals last year then potentially being relegated to Div 2 this year.. big game for both

Moonee Valley v Airport West - Moonee Valley a very young team on the up, most are under 23, Div 2 will see a much more competitive Division for MV.. Airport West, Marcus Kenny on fire last week with 20 Goals, how many this week ! what can you say !!

Keilor Park v Westmeadows - Keilor Park- big fall from last years season.. Westmeadows will be clinical in this game, Singh to kick a bag imo

Glenroy v Tullamarine - This will be a top game, will Glenroys big men get them over the line at the cage, or will the Tulla boys run riot ? the weather will decide who will win imo

Roxburgh Park v Taylors Lakes - The Lakes are definately peaking at the right time, after a slow start to the season they are now starting to find some form

Northern Saints v West Coburg - MOTR - Last time these two met was at Highgate in last years Semi Final where Northern started off the game with all the play & had 10 shots to 3 in the 1st Quarter but only had a 3 goal lead at 1/4 time. West Coburg finished off well & won the game WC13.11.89 NS 9.16.70,then went on to play in the Grand Final..
This will be a very different game on Charles Mutton Reserve with two different teams to last year.4 Abdulwahed brothers for Northern & the other Abdulwahed brother playing for West Coburg. Northern may have a few injuries atm. Also Rossco Weightman from Hillside is having a good year in the middle for Wests alongside Rabee.. Weather will be a factor
