Vital win for the Saints and a tip I'm wrapt to get wrong. Played terrific wet weather footy.

Best game of wet weather footy ive seen for a long time, Northern Saints are relentless and play good, hard, fair, quick footy. 3 or 4 standouts for Glenroy but were a bit slow when it came down to contested footy
Northern really should have won the game by 5 or 6 goals...

Great win for Northern Saints, and have a few % boosters in coming weeks

I witnessed one of the most disgusting things in a local football game over the weekend. I was down at Hillside to watch the match between them and westmeadows, i arrived a little early to catch the last quater of the 2's. After what seemed to be a little altercation between a hillside player and a westy player in the centre of the ground a 100 metre penalty was awarded to the hillside player, when then a westy player (number 25) ran over to the altercation and then fair dinkum king hit a Hillside player who was a) not involved in the earlier dispute and b) not aware of what was coming at him. The Hillside player was knocked clean out and the game then called off. This disgusting act should not go un punished and both the league and westmeadows should get rid of the person (other names than person should be used to describe) who did this. This coward should be banned for a long time. if blokes like this want to fight then go to a boxing gym not play local seconds footy and run around sniping and king hitting blokes. this shows the kind of person the league and club need to get rid of.

Piss poor. No one likes to hear of such events. The idea of someone suffering a life changing injury while running around getting a kick makes me sick especially with a young boy playing in the league.

I've got some good mates at Westy and I'm certain they will handle this player appropriately

If it is the same incident i heard about, but believe police charges and a lawsuit will soon be following.
Pure gutless act, 10 years ago you would say typical Westy, but to league and westmeadows credit, both have worked hard to improve standard.

Going by previous posts I'd say no. If it was as bad as what I read above I'd think 12 weeks-1 year was warranted.
I've seen blokes get 2-3 for abusive language...

Going by previous posts a harsher penalty appears warranted. That being said though, a couple of "king hits" over the weekend have been reported in the press - this one wasn't one of them....

I did read about the NFL Under 17's incident between Lalor v Lalor bloods where the Police airwing was called (Helicopter),Ambulance & Police cars all attended, absolutely shocking form for junior footy.
Players running into grandstands, off the bench, crowds involved, shit like this is terrible for local footy

I think either 1 or both teams have to sit the rest of the year out

probably not, especially after hearing the bloke does this thing alot.
the league and clubs are doing a great job trying to eradicate this kind of junk happening, these individuals need to be made example of.

on a positive the guy from hillside is all good from all reports.
