Looks like your the one being made to look silly by reading some replies to your ordinary post. Calling players soft and now saying bad things about another club. What do you know about Wallan anyhow? Country club doing there best in difficult times..
I'm not jealous of your team pal. Couldn't give a rats. Just remember the last time you went up to the top grade, you only lasted a year as didn't have a good plan.
Getting back to my original post you do know the league has been in regular contact with certain clubs (including Craigieburn) regarding the points system and upcoming salary caps. Clubs are also working with the league, so get with it.. Even premier clubs need to work to 250k (I think) in 2017.

It certainly is mate but what would us old timers know! If the EDFL could take just 1 piece of advice and that is make Div 1 an even amount of teams. They must have a very good reason for having an odd number or they are completely stupid

Recruited all the missing pieces from this year and to land a midfielder of Shagga's ilk is icing on the cake!

Shagga a great pick up for Westy Puff but would have come at a hefty price tag but CBurn still clear favourites just with the pure fire power up front Westy will still be there when the whips r cracking though. Will be a very competitive Div 1 again
Craigieburn stayed in premier for 8 years turbo thats how much you know. Im sure the likes of your mob pacco, plus abers and a few other massive spending clubs would be a little bit more of a concern regarding salary cap than what craigieburn would be mate.

Craigieburn have always spent huge amount of money on players. Just like Abers did from 2005-2010 they have spent it on the wrong players. Abers have got the act together. Time will tell in craigieburn will do the same.
Craigieburn would have to win the flag next season because if they don't I'm feeling as though they will be well over the divy 1 cap meaning they will have to cut top end talent or players take a pay cut. If they do loose the top end talent it might be interested times for the club

Hey Bissa, They didn't stay up long the last time they went up when Whitnall was coaching and you had Christou playing I'm sure but to be honest I wasn't taking a lot of notice of Craigieburn then other than they always had money but had trouble attracting players.
Anyway I do agree premier clubs, like most of the bigger metro clubs, will need to get working on their list management for 2017 and onwards.
Anyway Bissa, do you expect Craigieburn to go one better in 2016? Surely they will be "hot" favourites.
Are you guys back on your original ground or going back to highgate?
Is there plans for another club in the Craigieburn area which will take over at Highgate?
Theres only been the one time they went up that was after winning b grade in 2005 and staying in A grade until 2012. Whitnall never coached the club. I think they are rightly favourite next year but im tipping some big challengers in Westy, Oakers in particular. Also think Glenroy and Tulla be there abouts. Not invloved as heavily as i once was but i believe there home ground is still Ds aitken with 2-3 games per year played at highgate also. Id be pretty surprised if there is another club in Craigieburn anytime soon mate

I'm
thinking that they might have a team out of mt Ridley they could use highgate. Not sure how many more years craigieburn will be at highgate. Did hear they just got 1.1million from hume council to upgrade there rooms. So I'm guessing they will stay there. So that frees up highgate for another team around the mt Ridley area

Shannon has played for roughly 5 or 6 different clubs over the last 5 or 6 years, 2 times at tatura, 2 times at deer park, albion in there for a year or two. He does well, regular sign on free of 5$k plus, usually around 1$k+ per game BUT puts on and earns it and they keep coming back flor him

Goes pretty well Kick It.... Very quick on the lead nice hands and kicks well. Massive big pack marks like Cam Cloke, Kite etc probably not his go but handy when he has space to work into. kicked 28 for Lakes in 2015. Is he leaving Lakes Kick It?

We are talking to him, I cant say where as yet but my understanding is he wants play Premier/Division 1 footy, my club played in a Prelim final and we need a forward to add depth and more goals to get to the GF hopefully in 2016.

I'll be honest and say he will struggle in premier division in edfl. He doesn't have a very good defensive side to his game. Handy divy 1 player but in my opinion would struggle playing in a higher division. Just my opinion I could be proven wrong
Also never seen him take a big pack mark like Cloke in saying that never seen kite do that either. Kites good on a lead and that's about it same as memedi

Don't know much about him before Taylor's lakes. So from what I've seen last couple years he would struggle playing a higher grade. But that's understandable if the blokes 40+. But I think it's a different guy but I could be wrong
