Heard that burnside got beaten by 15 goals against Sanctuary Lakes today. Seems like another long season for the Bears.

Lot of players out for the Bears, only 2 on the bench compared to the 7 that Sanctuary Lakes had. Practically no forward line in the second half due to injuries and down to 1 on the bench aswell.

First half was good

There are quite a few new guys. Give me a little bit and I'll write up the complete list of Transfers for them, maybe in my lunch break.

I think they did look better than what they have previously, maybe win a few more games, should be a lot more competitive though with a few bigger bodies and a lot more experience.

As to who played well, it's hard to say without knowing names. Going on numbers I would say 1,27,29,7 and a couple others

Alessi, Dion
Autelitano, Luke
Efthimiadis, Andrew
Ford, Luke
French, Mitchell
Highgate, Declan
Isaacs, Scott
Karipoglou, Matthew
Larkin, Matthew
Marciniak, Jamie
Mcdonald, Patrick
Millar, David
Millar, Stephen

Murrells, Anthony
Parker, Kyall
Penate, Steven
Proh, Liam
Smith, Nathanael
Soto, Steven

Springall, Jude
Tabone, Michael
Turner, Caine

To be honest, i've only heard of those blokes i bolded. I know Alessi played Keilor U16's, 18's & tried out Jets. Matt Karipoglou played Taylors Lakes & Jets, Nathanael Smith was at Taylors Lakes, a big body forward/defender. Jamie Marciniak can also play.

Any other reports on practice matches this weekend?

Heard that Jacana comfortably beat Braybrook. Anyone there?
Also, KP getting done by 10-12 goals against a Div 3 SFL team?

I went to watch East Sunbury vs. Lancefield yesterday. ES lost by 9 points in a closely fought battle. Quite high tempo footy. However, it looked like both teams were missing a few. ES look to continue with youth with a young ruckman (heard it was his first game) going up against Cam White (ex afl). Also, Dylan Tarczon was runner which was annoying. Was keen to see how he would go. ES U/18's won against Romsey by 100 points which is promising for the future.

Mooney Valley got beaten by Nth Heidelberg by 70 odd

Thanks for this.

I don't think I would look too far into this considering Nth Heidelberg were Div 1 NFL last season and look to have recruited for a tilt at it in Div 2 this year.

Anything to add about how MV played? Seems to be their second practice match loss.

Broadford fnc looking for practice match due to club pulling out sat 2nd April under 18 red and Snr Harley Hammond reserve broadford if interested PM me
Thanks

I don't know if their team was at full strength or not but they were beaten comfortably in all facets of the game...as you said they were playing a much better opponent so they were thoroughly outclassed...they were always second to the ball and just lacked a bit of polish...but it's only a praccy match after all.

Practice Matches against superior opposition is better than playing games against teams below your level where you get a false indication of your playing group

Unsure if any of you fella's have junior club involvements, but we're chasing an Under 16.5s practice game on Sunday April 10th at Kilmore.

Our junior club is having practice game's against the Romsey JFC that day, but unfortunately the Redbacks wont be fielding a top age team in 2016.

If anyone is available, or have had a club asking who you can't accommodate, please contact myself Chris Nolan on 0419363845.
