Hear the natives are restless down at the Oakers, quite a few disgruntled players not happy with the coaching debacle.

Never mind if it really hits the fan maybe it's better for you to stay in B grade:) We would be happy to stay in A grade (RING A BELL) after all it's what is best for the comp that counts.

What goes around comes around

lol you are a goose my friend, i think you'll find most blokes are pretty upset with the sacking of toddy and have made it known that they are and that is that, in the end the boys are a pretty tight knit unit and wont let something like this effect them to much, its the boards decision and they have no control over it so they will let it sort it self out, in the end its the same team with the same blokes and the same goals plus these blokes actually want to test themselves unlike some people from your premiership side of 2008, the respect of your teamates should overide the initial dissapointment of having the coach sacked and i think youll find that is what is happening.
Everyone is signed for this year and i think you can count on the boys from oakers winning more than one game, good luck in b grade mate from what hear youll need all the luck you can get;)

Will be even harder now that Travis Dulic has signed with Keilor.

Thanks for verifying that the boys are upset by the committee's decision.

As for my other comment it was firmly tongue in cheek.
Knew I would get a bite from someone at the Oakers becuse it was probably you that started all the bull last year.

After all were you not the best side ever to get relegated from A grade!!!

As for the Roys, we will be fine, yes last year was a mess, but as i have stated before the committee were faced with a choice of spending with no guarantee of staying up, or take our medicine and put everything into the new rooms.

Short term pain for long term gain

Is that 100% about Dulic. That is a huge loss for the Roys. Unfortunately the Oak Park coach has met with the B-grade premiership coaches curse as the last 5 or 6 premiership coaches. I cant remember the last B-grade premiership coach who survived at the same club 2 years later. Clarke/Oakers, Manning/Glenroy, Allison/Marby, Zouzounis/West Cob, ???????/ Crazyburn. I cant remember before 04 but it is an interesting stat. Shows Macphersons longevity at the Jets that he has survived for so long

if it eventuates that travis leaves, and im still confident he wont, i will be sure to send you a text message full fwd confirming it for you, since i know it would be of some relief to you if he moves on. hope things are going well with your new project, but not too well as i'm sure you would suspect, lol

Trav has gone bud. Tell me could Glenroy match the $650 a game, plus his sign on fee and not to mention the 2 tickets that he received (of Mick) to private marquay last saturday at makinon stakes with the Keilor boys?

Has anyone taken the notice of the recruiting that Strathmore have undertaken during this off season?

Quinn, Courtney Johns, Tristan Cartlege & Jordan Doering returning.

That is allot of Money spent there, just as much as Greenvale & Marby spend if not more.

Why has there been not one bad word written about them? Imagine if Marby had recruited them, the crying & bagging every other team would have created on this forum.

Isn't it good that a new team has stepped and is competitive in this comp?

I am sick of Greenvale, Strathmore & Keilor always rotating the Premiership cup.

The top teams all spend the same money, unfortunately that is the way it is.

im not gonna get into a slanging match with ya, ur right about the money side of things, but until he tells me his leaving then im gonna stay confident that he will stay and try help us get back to A grade. and since he keeps training with us each week, that keeps me still hopeful. Sometimes(not always) playing with friends is more important than a couple hundred more dollars

The reason being Strathmore is a well respected and good local football club with a good bunch of juniors around the club

Those players mentioned two of which returning probably means that they enjoyed there time and like the club

All the A Grade clubs spend big money so no one cares and the its the way Marby go about their business that people care about, the arrogance that comes from the club, people like humble winners....

Once again the same old argument does Marby have any juniors in their side... no, then they are a purchased side... easy as that

Fair enough bud, it's good to hear someone caring about their club. But if what i say is true then a public forum apology will do, and like wise if he stays champ.
p.s I wouldn't want him and his missus to leave either, especially on fancy dress night.lol

If those signings are true, Strathmore must sit just behind Marby as premiership favorite.

It seems we basically have most of the essendon 2002 list playing EDFL footy next year, Haynes, Bullen, Reynolds, Doering, Johns, Mal Michael, Dean Rioli, Matty Lloyd all we need now is Mark Bolton and Damien Cupido..

Maybe Danny Jacob also?????
I heard he may be headed to Craigeburn with his old mate Barnard.

Are you still upset that Marby beat Keilor in Round 10? Lets worry about 2010 season, back to back for Marby in 2010.

Go Marby!

Look at the whole list and there are plenty of juniors in the squad. The Club was on it knees 8 years ago, with no juniors. So we built from the top down, and now the seniors are successful and the juniors are flying. The club has secured its future by it's actions. As for the arrogance, its not on our part it's the opposing teams who can't swallow our success.

Go Marby!

This is exactly the kind of comment that people get annoyed at. I doubt very much anyone from GV, SM or Keilor has got on here after a successful year sprouting about back to back. There's an old saying that go's something like this; 'When you win, try to act like you've been there before', which I think means something like, celebrate and enjoy it but a bit of humility wouldn't hurt either.

It's a broken record on here. No one begrudges the success and I think it can only be a good thing to have more successful clubs in the league. It would just be good to see a bit of humility. It seems that there's a bit of insecurity when Marby posts constantly have a reference to 'how good are we' or similar.

Agree I think thats the only comment My North has to add to this forum

As for cragieburn, agree there needs to be a lot of work done to change their culture and peoples outside perception of the joint

The outside perception of any club as portraid on this site lets be honest would be so far off the mark as to how the club really is internally. Seriously anyone can jump on this site and say anything about a club and have people read it and believe it, in the end its all heresay.
Anyone who has had any involvement with the club know how good it is to be a part of on and off the field. Youd be hard pressed to find someone who doesnt agree.
Over half the senior team have played juniors at the club and it will remain that way no matter how much success they have. For mine thats a good club.
Take Mont for example, an outside incident occurs and suddenly the culture of the entire football club is questioned.
A clubs reputation shouldnt be judged on the part of a few people who get on here and crucify a club cause he has a vendetta against them.. but i guess thats half the fun of this site i suppose.
