Great show, its the one thing maybe EDFL is better at than WRFL. Big Matty

Spare me please "its the one thing maybe EDFL is better at than WRFL''.
I'll treat that with the comtempted it deserves!
Back to the footy, night comp on tonight, oak park Vs Albanvale and west coburg Vs Keilor, should be a good hitout the second match any opinions on who will win and why?

I started to tear up hearing that inspirational tale fanman. I'm sure Lindsay, O'Neal and Hoath played for the love of the club, a pie and a diet coke also.
'

Must be watching his diet.....''diet coke''

I worked in the canteen for a pie and a diet coke. I didnt get a medal but i felt part of it . Due to helping raise the 45k to all the loyal players. They made me feel part of it best feeling ever have you felt a Divison 1 flag feeling?

Not my mail Fan Man,

Jama suprised you have not given the latest update on player movements. Travis Robinson ex Pascoe Vale now rumoured to be a Greenvale recruit and the word is Bicer has definately returned to Greenvale.

Don't worry about the Craigieburn Eagles being relagated as they have recruited enough players to cement their place in A grade.

Who have cragieburn picked up? It will be really close to see who goes down out of East Keilor aswell as Keilor Park.

If Bicer is back @ Greenvale they will be definite top 2... He is a superstar....

Popped into have a look at the Night Series Semi Finals

Oak Park smashed Albanvale (total mismatch) with Oak Park wearing a Red and White jumper....

Keilor v West Coburg was a tight game until just before half time when the keilor midfield started to get on top... A couple of young guys #13 (Chucker) and # 22 Buttigeg were good with Marcy and Fraser getting plenty of it..... #19 up forward looked dangerous for Keilor and Glushenko and the new boys from Adelaide looked sharp....

West Coburg looked a little unfit (Haucher carrying plenty). They still seem to play a short style of game without any difinitive forward targets.... Flavel will struggle in the tight contest of B grade....

firstly deefer i must apologise for keeping you up all night trying to think of something to write back to me. unfortunately football nowadays is all about money. Usually the team that spends the most lovely wins the flag. therefore i will go back to my earlier threads and say that the teams with the most proffessional commitees with very good business contacts is what is required if you want to be successful. i am just stating the facts about these clubs and why their leagues are so powerful. keep reading my posts and you might learn something about local football
You are not keeping me awake. As in most things you have made an incorrect assumption. Have you ever considered that I may not be in the same time zone at the moment?
Having a professional committe is not the issue in the case of Strathmore. A small point that you fail to understand, is the whole recruiting campaign is being funded by one person the coach! Does the term "all eggs in one basket" ring a bell. He leaves, they are in deep dooh dah.
I have read your posts and have reached a number conclusions.
That you have not contributed any sound business acumen in any of your posts.
You have a zenophobic dislike of the EDFL, and have nothing positive to contribute in the EDFL forum.
Lastly and most importantly, not much point continuing the discussion, as you really do not have anything constructive to add.

A bit of free advice for you. Stop assuming and get some facts before you post on forums.

Think I will head back to the bar and watch the UEFA cup.

Talk about assuming facts. You would have no idea how many eggs are in any baskets. Drop off the hype and rumour and believe that the people who run Strathmore are football people who have the best long term interests of the club at heart. All clubs have good and bad seasons with players coming and going and you have to be prepared for that. But to suggest a club the size of Strathmore is dependant on one individual is dumb.

Mate your off ya head do u know anything bout football or what......
Who do u play for motor mouth?????? i hope u play for a B grade side u say that about Houcher and Flavel, but u will never be in there class mate..Gese i bet u must be carrying plenty to...and Flavel must of touched u up a few times...u tool....:D
I bet u would love houcher in your side????

As a student of the game i watched the Keilor v West Coburg game last also with interest and in the end it was the A Grade v B Grade factor that came into play.

When you seen the body strength, skill and pressure of an A grade club put pressure on a B Grade side, the the mistakes and turnovers happen. West Coburg became a little undisciplined with back chat to the umpires when the pressure from the opposition was applied. I thought the Keilor coach coached very well as the West Coburg game plan of chipping sideways and running game broke down.

Cheers

Sorry to upset you champ

Long retired and I haven't seen a great deal of B grade footy so west coburg may prove me wrong and dominate the competition.....

I have watched some A grade over recent seasons and watched Haucher dominate games but from what I saw last night his fitness would be down 60%.... Flavel has been a solid A grade forward (50 & 60 goals) for a number of years but if west are relying on him as their key forward they could be in trouble......

I will use this site is to post opinion not uneducated abusive comments...

:)

I have to agree with you there reality, after quater time it was very close in my mind. Its amazing how an umpire can change a game and give that many 50 meters away in one game...Keilor played well and there mids were the difference in my opinion.
A prime example of last night was when west coburg turned the ball over, keilor would make them pay and dearly l might add.
West coburg lacked direction at times and could not match the intensity of the oppostion. Keilor also had key players missing in T.Paterson, S.Long and M.James to name a few.

I watched a full strength Abers take on a depleted Sunbury the other week and they got rolled by about 6 goals probably should have been more. Also on the weekend they played Kyabram who are tipped to be a bottom 3 side in the GV and they got beat by 7 goals but Kyabram i think had 20 more scorng shots. I know that Minton Connell likes to play his full strength side for practise matches and especially with Abers having a complete new look side they would want to gel together as quickly as possible.

Im not having a go at the EDFL or Abers but just want to get an opinion from those who know about how Abers will go? and also anyone who went or saw the Ky vs Abers game could they tell me how Ky looked? most people agree and its widely known that the GV is the best standard of local footy going around but i doubt a bottom 3 side in the GV is a 20 more scoring shot better team than a EDFL bottom 3 side. Are Abers going to be that bad?? i dont think they have won a pre season match and when i watched they looked a little lost.

cheers lads

Tige19, honestly what are you trying to prove here? We all know the GVFL is better than the edfl by far, do you need to hear that every day?
There is a reason why they call preseason games practices matches! I dont think teams at this stage are going to show all there cards and there set ups, please tige19 we all know you played coburg 2's and we are happy for you.
cheers

Official semifinal results are:

Keilor 15.8 Def West Coburg 4.5
Oak Park 20.7 Def Albanvale 2.2
