Wrong again just like the mass walk out at EK after the EX coach leaving.
Looks like the list has grown real quick since the sacking and the new appointment of the senior coach.

Their is always 3 sides to every story.
1, Your side
2, There side
3, And the truth

Well done to all those involved at East Keilor.
Seems they didn't teach you the difference between THERE & THEIR at Essendon Tech.

I do find it interesting that a couple of EK players who according to social media have re-signed are meeting with other Prem clubs...

YEP - and apart from Jacob Brown, they have re-signed all the players that couldn't manage to get them to the finals this year and they have lost Bongetti, Micalleff & Josh Grabow. and a few more... -Although, I hear there are quite a few guns already signed up for 2024 when the real coach becomes available and is announced...

Back that up . Heard a few players are also looking elsewhere. A few that have been announced which is very interesting .

Lol mate there are names yet to be announced. Let them announce their current players first don’t you worry about EK

Na not fishing for anything tbh. Just know for a fact a couple of players have held meetings with other prem clubs, who have apparently 're-signed'.

VAFA - 2 teams wearing the same jumper (ironically black and white straps) played in a GF this year. VAFA have a yellow uniform that one teams wear in this situation.

VAFA and SAAFL used to have a jumper clash rule in the 1980s (they may still do) whereby the club that affiliated first wears their regular guernsey and the club that came in afterwards wears an alternate one.

De La Salle (blue-gold-blue panels, blue back) and Bulleen-Templestowe (gold-blue-gold panels, blue back) met in A Grade in the 1980s and Bulleen-Templestowe had to wear either an all gold or all orange guernsey with black numbers on the back because they were the later of the pair to join the VAFA (1975?). In every other game they wore their usual guernsey until they re-designed it some time in the 2000s.

In this case, DP should be made to wear gold with a blue vee or white with a blue and gold vee for clashes or something different altogether. St Albans would probably have to opt for something like white with a blue and red vee (like the Dandenong Redlegs in the VFA) or something more radical given the number of clubs with navy or red prominent in their guernseys.

Why is having more than 10 teams hard to fixture?

10 has always been seen as the perfect number of teams in a grade or league because it is the best fit for an 18-week home-and-away season.

For a fair fixture involving more than 10 clubs, you need 22 weeks instead of 18. Winter ground hires are April 1 to September 30 and the extra four weeks is unworkable in most cases.

10 teams - meet each other twice = 18 rounds
11 teams - meet each other twice and two byes = 22 weeks.
12 teams - meet each other twice = 22 weeks.

No use having 12 teams and 18 rounds as it makes a mockery of things and teams get easier/harder draws

Just like the afl

Could easily make it work if they wanted to. Get rid of the split rounds we don’t need. The gf was September 10. There are currently weeks spare.

A 12 team comp requires 4 weeks
Where do you see that fitting in?

If they've signed a contract, if the clubs want to hold them, they are hard to break.

Why not have 2 18 team comps? And everyone in each comp plays once.

Why do clubs want to pay so much? Why don't clubs push up their good thirds up into senior footy

Some guys don’t want to train hard and have the dedication it takes to play premier division level football, that is why they are happy to play thirds.

Can you imagine to scores of some of those games. Ten to twelve teams in a competition is optimal for playing each other twice. Makes it hard for a team to get dropped a division if they have played the top two sides twice and the team above them only played them once, if every team doesn’t play each other twice.

You understand they train with their thirds but the coach in the seniors picks them to play seniors

Looks like you've been proven right. And his former coach arranging for Brent Stanton to give him a try may be coming back to haunt EK.

LOL his ex coach did nothing of the sort that is rubbish.

Well done to Lockie deserves everything he gets, great kid and great player.

It’s been a pleasure seeing him develop into an even better player since he’s moved to EK. A lot of you thought him and other Div 1 players wouldn’t do well in Prem, just shows what happens when your around better players…. You improve.

That’s an offer you can’t refuse to go straight from prem to training with an afl first team and playing in their reserves.

People say it’s a loss for the club but really it’s a positive, you want your players to go play at higher levels, that’s what it’s all about.

Bloody unreal!!!!!

Ease up champ, Horse is just mentioning what's been said in an article about Cam Rayner and trying to get Lachie to play for the Lions VFL team. It's a direct quote from the Lions Recruiting Team.
Disregard- the bloke is lecturing on truth whilst posturing as an illiterate Aberfeldie fan..

His not really “your” player as he is known as a hillside player through the hillside football factory, as BT would say 🤣🤣

Will agree stepping up to Premier standard and doing well has been great for him but it could have been any premier club.

Agree more than 10 teams make it hard to fixture and DP and St Albans should not be coming into the league
Oh well if the clubs continue to be dictated to then it will continue to happen.
You need to ask “what’s next”.
The clubs can make the change however if they cop it today they will cop it tomorrow
Maybe a few supporters at each club should be asking questions of theirs own clubs committees.

Of course it could of been any prem club. Point is if he stayed at hillside he would still be playing Div 1 and not have this opportunity. If any player has a chance to play prem they should take it if they want to better their game.

He got a chance because of his bother.. His form in the VFL wouldn't exactly have other VFL teams lining up.

Yeah understand your point but his tall and versatile which is difficult to find. VFL standard really fallen away over recent years and it’s only getting weaker. More for younger types so it’s a good thing in a way. The travel is turning a few older players away from VFL so they prefer local.
