If you follow them pretty closely how would you not know if the playing coach is injured or not. If you don’t want to say, don’t bring it up.

Sorry Route 59, he’s been injured at times this year so that’s what I assumed. Can’t help you if that’s not good enough.
And I didn’t bring it up, champ. Someone else did.

Thanks for clarifying Turbo. Interesting run home for your mob - 4th might be a stretch but I'm sure they will make thing interesting all the same. Any idea on return dates for the missing players? Guest, Soncin, Patty, Hansen all hammies I heard? Not sure on Ross? And Allen has been long term...

Regardless of players in or out Marby's season on the line this week. Interesting to see how they respond.

Think it's fair to say they've been the real up and comer over the past 3-4 years after almost being relegated, now we REALLY get to see how far they've come. Young group, if talk off this website is anything to go off a few injuries to key players and somewhat of a form slump after 2 losses. Are they still they 12-24 months behind where they need to be or will they stand up and make a stand. Win this week and manage to go 1-1 through Keilor & Abers and all of a sudden they're thinking top 2 and Grand Finals again. Lose this week and well it may and truly be lights out.

In terms of Pascoe Vale it must've been one of their most well-rounded performances of the year. Does beg the question as to why they can't do this week in week out as they would be outright favourites with Keilor. Kept their season alive though and now rely on results out of their hands which is never the position you want to be in but hey whilst their season is still breathing you'd be a brave man to write them off although I think extremely unlikely.

Keilor guaranteed top 2 and Abers proving you can never count them out. Unsure what to make of Greenvale - much like Marby it could be season over with a loss this week with a visit from Keilor imminent for them.

Douttas vs West Coburg relegation battle looks like it'll go down to Round 17 when WC play AH.

- For the first time since 2012, the Strathmore Community Bank Premier Division Preliminary Final will be the only EDFL final scheduled in its timeslot (from 2013 to 2017, it was played at the same time as the senior Division 2 Grand Final)

- All bar two senior men’s finals games will be played at Windy Hill or Coburg City Oval

- Windy Hill will host the EDFL Women’s Grand Final immediately following the four Big Childcare Division 1 Boys Grand Finals (U11, U13, U15 & U17)

- The Senior Thirds Grand Final will remain a Friday night fixture at Keilor, to be played on August 17 at 7pm

As a result, the SCB Premier Division Preliminary Final will be played at Windy Hill on Sunday, September 9.

The top tier’s finals series will kick off at Windy Hill on Saturday, September 1 with the top two teams battling for a spot in the Grand Final.

The following day, Windy Hill will see third play fourth in the knockout Semi Final for the right to advance to the Preliminary Final.

The loser of Semi Final 2 will then take on the winner from Semi Final 1 in the Preliminary Final at Coburg City Oval on Sunday, September 2.

Semi Final 1 (3 v 4) - Saturday, September 1 @ Keilor

Grand Final - Saturday, September 15 @ Windy Hill

DUE to the season re-structure following Keilor Park’s withdrawal from the competition, the Strathmore Community Bank Division 2 Finals Series will commence on the same day as SCB Premier Division (Saturday, September 1).

Both Semi Finals will be played simultaneously, with Semi Final 2 (grand final qualifier, first v second) taking place at Coburg City Oval and Semi Final 1 (sudden death, third v fourth) being played at Keilor Reserve.

The AGA Apprenticeships Plus U19.5 Division 2 Grand Final will also be played at Coburg City Oval on Saturday, September 1.

Don’t know what the go is regarding the suspension not being on the website but the thug was found guilty and suspended for 6 weeks. Bit surprised it wasn’t longer as was a disgraceful act.

I must add, the most disappointing thing to come from all this is that Strathmore football club tried to convince the league that the headbutt was an accidental head clash.
They actually defended the thugs action. Pretty poor considering Strathmore claim to be a family club.
I for one wouldn’t send my kids to play footy there if they condone this type of thuggery.

Hey Charlie, I did mention on here some weeks ago that things go on at that club that are getting out of hand and no one seems to be in control of things. There are rules in place for reasons but the league doesn’t seem to want to punish certain clubs for breaches. Plenty of league officials getting around to games but little punishment handed out.
I example is how many people are allowed in the coaching area inside the fence? What’s the role of a club official? Surely 8-10 is not allowed..

This probably attributes to these incidents in a small way as certain clubs so ignore league rules.

I think the area around the coaching bench 5 mts around should be roped off as a no go zone. Only for emergencies can someone enter. IE a player knocked out might have family enter..

Also think the area behind the goals should be roped off. Premier league it’s not to bad but in the lower divisions and juniors no one should be allowed to be in this area. Seen goal umpires cop verbal abuse as well as some players..

Thoughts??

All good, relevant, common sense points.
Goals and coaches areas used to be roped off, however councils will not let it happen now (insurance issues). The policing of numbers on the bench is upto the match day official as is the activities of the runner and water persons.

Gee Turbo, I thought you had disqualified yourself from the Premier thread. I believe 7 team officials, including runner and trainer are allowed on the bench. I have never seen 8-10 officials on the Strathmore bench as you claim. You really need to concentrate on raising genuine issues of interest and concern, which you do quite often.

Unfortunately you also tend to lapse into making blatantly outlandish and mischievous claims, which are invariably found to be totally wrong. And you wonder why people get a trifle irritated with you.

Its great to see that turd was made accountable but Strathmore defense is a joke. Hopefully the Police follow up is more hard hitting.

I love your passion for your club Stax, but plenty of incidents over recent years. It was only a few years ago whilst I was down watching SM v PV where I was standing over in the pocket close to the rooms with my young son standing next to about 15 SM under 19s and what was coming out of there mouths towards the PV FF was an absolute disgrace. It just went on & on.. I told them “boys best be careful as there is no fence protecting you” The FF who was a big unit wasn’t impressed by being named for no reason. Even the SM FB was disgusted and telling him don’t worry about it. At 1/2 he went over to them and confronted them and no one was courageous enough to own up. They basically poo there pants. I was also close by ready. He told them after the game he would take them all on but they packed up at 3/4 times and moved on.
My point being someone from the club needs to pull these idiots into line rather than encourage them. A few older club people seemed to think it was fine.
Yes mate I know all clubs have idiots but I’m not sure continuing to call someone names is really what good clubs are about. Yes SM are a big club but have they lost sight of the big picture Stax. I would be expecting them to be a leader in improving off field.

Personally I would like to see all grounds not fully fenced have a boundary rope around them on game day as a deterrent and to look more professional. Thoughts!!

It's in line with the Keilor suspension that ended an EDS players career

Who’s the big tough full forward Turbo who got a bit upset with 17 year old kids heckling him?
Can’t think of a big tough full forward at Pacco.
No Ben Warren surely. Mention the blokes name please.

Think Turbo invented that fairy tale on the run to suit his narrative. Has trouble differentiating between fact and fiction.

They weren’t 17 as were drinking beers. A mix of under 19s and Reserves. False courage over the boundary fence. Some of the words were outright disgusting and some hero’s deserve a good whack..
it wasn’t Warren but I don’t need to name him.

That ground is open to idiot hero’s as no fence on that open side. My point is should they rope it around maybe.
