I would say the committee has done a fantastic job over the last few years compiling a list where Pacco can compete with the best

Every club in the division competes with the best. Finishing out of the 4 consistently , playing over rated hasbeens , minimal promotion of your juniors and the lack of success at the highest level means that maybe the committee are being run by people who want instant success and don’t have a long term plan to give this 100 year old club a bit of credibility.

There is a difference between building a list to compete and a list for sustainability though. Are they recruiting the right blokes? A lot of blokes on BIG coin.
How much have they put into their under 19 program? They seem to be getting pumped every week - how many 19s have played senior footy?

Is paying an uninterested Lachie Hansen overs better than paying 2 young, hungry maybe ex-VFL/Tac Cup kids good coin?

They're constantly at the top of the spending chain yet never the top of the table?

Very good post . We’ve said it before , there recruiting is terrible. The money men should raise the coin , leave it on the table and leave the room when the football decisions are made. They need a strong smart football director who knows local football and what is required. Easier said than done getting someone I realise but until they do all their money will be useless .

Your a dead set L.. So you know the people on the committee up there do you.. The season is not finished yet but either way I guess you just like to see the same teams dominate every year don’t you. There is a couple of other teams high up the ladder that play on high points and pay plenty yet have had successful junior system for years. As I’ve said before I give credit to Greenvale for where there sit on the ladder this year but all the others are doing similar things pal..Some been doing it longer and some doing it with less success.. Grow up!!

Why the committee? They don't play the games, select the teams or even recruit players. Yes they endorse the coach

Who of the top 5 (think we all presume Pacco will find it hard to make it now) have players to come back in. Players who will make a difference come finals and to there clubs points total. Abers and Greenvale going around with a lot lower points than Keilor, Strathmore and Marby. Those three playing at low 40's though so do have some room.
Without doing much research I automatically think of Browne and McIntosh, they'll both need to be back soon if they are to make any impact in the finals. Hear Cavka is pushing to return, he'd have to be an outsider to get back. Again would need games under his belt. Marby would no doubt want Kempster back in a hurry. Do Greenvale get back Deluca, 1 X Maric, 1 X Caruso. Reimers back last week is he still in Abers best 22, heard Tony Pies profits went through the roof during his layoff.
Hope this creates a bit of discussion about the actual on field stuff.

Must have been on the money. No one can come up with any other players or everyone holding there cards close to there chest.

They should be paying him $1000 and spending the rest on defensive midfielders. Cause as good as your midfield is they are very much downhill skiers. If you think his productivity this season is worth what he’s being paid, then it’s no wonder Pacco are where they are.

That I agree with you all just don’t like to see blame placed on specific players or committee. Especially taking the easy option to pot a big name player! The games I’ve seen his done well and always gives his best. Remember his not a midfielder chasing the ball his a key forward who needs decent delivery or put to a 1 on 1 to his advantage.
I will say if PV happen to make the finals he could be the big difference. Anyone could win it this season as no real favourite but come finals big forwards are very handy and PV have 2 good ones

Greenvale good defence and lots of leg speed. Good ruckman and still possess some class.
Marby probably most even side across the ground and rely on multiple goal kickers. Not many injuries either helps. Jury still out
Strathmore I’m not convinced but they are up & about with little injuries of note. There high end players are earning there $$ and are taller stronger bodied mids which is serving them well. Backline a concern against good forwards on bigger finals grounds.

Who wins well I Reserve my prediction till the final 4 is done.

Mathematically Paco can still play finals although a lot needs to go their way - win next 5 and rely on those above to drop at least 2 games and percentage. What is going on with this weeks selection, 24 players selected mandatory requirement is 25, Hansen and Guest named as emergencies will need Guest to play as limited talls. Where is Vezpremi - packed up and left I am hearing
As for performance thus far don't blame Committee, coach and some high prized recruits are those accountable for it on game day

Can you pls tell me who won today between Marby and Pacco. Marby on top and playing at home close to full strength so surely they won by plenty.
