Traded Elijah Hollands [Traded to Carlton with #28 & F4 for #26 and F3(Ess)]

Not sure Carlton will be parting with any futures this year, we will need points for the Camporeale boys.

And we’ve only got one pick of value in the late late teens this year which I assume we use.

If Hollands is coming to Carlton it will be for scraps.

I don't think an F2 will be a problem for Hollands. We don't even know where the campo twins will land yet.

If it's that way 12 months out he's probably not a first round prospect.

Is it just me or does this tweet make no sense!

Ralph talks about a pick between 10-20 but then Carlton’s f2 which would be likely in the mid 35s depending on finishing position and gas / academy picks.

Hedging his bets?

They won't get a first from us or anyone else (even a late first) but they're the seller. A future 2nd is fair though ours will (hopefully) be on the later side so think we come out slightly ahead if that's the trade. Hard to know what they'll actually accept without knowing the inner workings of the club. On one hand you could argue that they should just keep him another year and see how he goes with Hardwick. On the other hand, you could say Harwick coming in is a fresh start and they have no shortage of talent so might just be best offloading him for a decent pick and knowing everyone at the club is 100% invested rather then forcing him to stay.

Can’t see us accepting the blues future second rounder, better off just keeping him

Would our Pick 16 + 2024 F1 for Pick 10 and E.Hollands be a fair deal to Suns fans?

Going on the assumption that Suns are trading Pick 4 to the Dogs for 10 + 17 or a 2024 F1
That's not bad. I think both clubs would take that! That pick 10 would just get used for an academy player anyways, and they get another 1st next year.

We might not need that first next year and we move up 6 spots, plus getting Hollands.

But I'm biased, I'm sure non Carlton people would say it's atrocious

I do get that sense from the little I've seen of him. Though not a huge concern so long as he can back it up. We lack that type. Interesting that it sounds like Gold Coast were the ones that encouraged him to look around. Have there been any issues with him?
Several issues.

1- Flanders
2 - Humpa
3 - Rogers
4 - Lombard

I think there’s the issue of they’ve recruited him to be a certain type of player and due to his acl he’s had to become a different type of player. A player we have a lot of. So it seems as though we are happy to move him on.

When he is played in his correct position ( inside mid) he is very good. He can’t get in front of Rowell, Touk and Humper

He is excess to our needs but is a quality player for a club willing to play him in position

Am I right in saying he's more agile and has a good side step in traffic rather than him being quick out of the gates? When out on the wing at AFL level he looked god awfully slow, but thought that may have just been that he was gassed from racking up large distances.

Don't recall whether he was injured during the pre-season but seemed underdone throughout the season. The way he ended 2022 he was looking like he was going to emerge into a bonafide A grader. Can see him being very damaging once he gets himself right, has great skills and good decision making.
