The big issue will be the tariffs on components that come in - I wonder how much of a Tesla is made in the USA? Wouldn't it be logical for Elon's 'closeness' with Donald is to seek exemption from a wide-ranging tariff structure on componentry?

Presumably most of the cars Tesla sells in the US are built in the US.

The Chinese built teslas are sold predominately into right hand drive markets, Asia and Europe.

Chinese manufactured EV’s are already subject to tariffs.
